I don't think it's one loss, to be fair. I don't agree with any fans or alums jumping ship, period, however. Not from here and didn't go here, but it's where I live and who I'll support....DV or Field House.

Wow! One loss to an opponent HHS wasn't going to beat anyway and everyone jumps ship. Perhaps the once-proud fanbase could use some toughening up as well and quit looking for scapegoats (aka. DV, fieldhouse, etc.)

The kids on that field still work-out year-round, still have a desire to win, and still live with their successes and failures. Perhaps we can hear from those that still support those qualities of a winning program.

 

It hasn't been one loss. I think it is the 15 losses over the last 3 years. And part of the culture that has changed is "One loss to an opponent HHS wasn't going to beat anyway". When was the last time you have heard that phrase from from a Highlands fan in ever. But by all means, let's assume Highlands is going to lose to quality opponents and rush the field when they beat Campbell County.

And, I was joking about the field house. But the attitude definitely needs to change from the top down. The coaches, parents, students,community and players should all be held responsible. It is definitely a different culture. If, what you are doing is working, then there would be no complaining. But if you are changing things and not changing other things, and it's not getting better, there is a problem.

I too am a transplant, but have learned to appreciate the program's history over the past 11 years. I can tell you when I look through the record books that HHS didn't win every state title either.

It's human nature to fall in love with the glory years (the 6 straight years), but what fun would the quest be if no one else was trying to win? Just sayin...

Dude c'mon nobody jumps ship. I'll be at the game Friday and I think we can win it. I mean has anyone Ryle beat won a game? It's just hard not to notice the team not up to old standards. What do you want me say? Everything is perfect? Of course the things they do different is going to come up. Sometimes I wonder if people understand what this website is for.

Dude you beat Cooper ( 0-3 ) , CC in ot who beat Ncc and Dixie. That's not a very impressive resume to be boasting about. Yet you will lose to us. So my question is will you be considered a good W or like your opinion of the teams we beat.

Campbell was a quality win given it should have been a loss. Take your shots though.

Not saying Campbell isn't going to be a good team, there hasn't been that signature win yet. None of us has anything to hang our hat on so far. Heard good things about Dowds. He hasn't played against a good D yet, but he is racking up some stats. It's a long season and CC has 5 quality opponents left on the schedule. Let's see how it goes.

Chill, holy moly. All I said was a factoid. Ryle has two wins, both teams they beat are win-less, as in no wins. All I said. Look up Ryle's opponents schedules you will see Ls. Also I never said Highlands wins are better than Ryles but lets look at them for fun.

Yeah I think Wilson is starting. But if I see three runs with a three and out on their opening drive I will be chewing my hat. I believe the Birds will score some points but the main factor is how do you limit Chisholm's success? And while doing that, if you can, stop England from taking advantage? I think they need to dare them to pass the ball. That is their weakest asset on offense and the birds pass def is better than their run def. I hope the cushion is not as big though.
