Johnson Central vs. Greenup County

Just for the record, threats on someone with bodily harm, however veiled, will absolutely NEVER be tolerated on BGP. Please keep that in mind. That is ridiculous.

Please... explain this and what post was it in?

He said after the Apple Bowl that there was a team coming down in 3 weeks that he really wants to beat(Ashland) some might take this as him overlooking Greenup Co. Personally, I don't think it matters if they are looking ahead or not, all this means is that the score won't be as bad as it potentially could be.

I think you're right. When you have 72 kids (probably 80 next year) dying to get in the game, its hard to let up. About 30 of them think they should be starting. Coach Matney won't hesitate to jerk even his best player if he's not satisfied. I'd be shocked if anyone is looking ahead, and there's really no reason to. I hope we show Ashland nothing the first time around, and if its close, so be it. I know we'll save the best for game 12, which should be Ashland at Johnson Central again. Hopefully we won't have to give anything away then either, but its nice to know that no one has seen what this offense is truly capable of.

I must have missed that comment.

I can promise you that he's not over looking Greenup. Have you heard anything yet about next years Apple Bowl yet?

Still no word Apple Bowl. I'm not saying that he's overlooking Greenup, but it seems he looks at the Ashland game like some fans look at the Apple Bowl. (Its the one he's had circled since last year) so to speak.

How would you feel about a team that beat you for a district title the way Ashland did last year. Trust me, JC is not overlooking Greenup County.

JC is not overlooking GC...they are one more team standing between us and what this team wants...a title(district, region,etc.). This team isn't looking PAST anyone...this team wants to go THROUGH some teams!!!

You're welcome. It's all yours.

I look forward to reading more Tomcat fans bashing the Golden Eagles' schedule. The avatar may help them convince themselves that Johnson Central is overrated. I think some of them are having a difficult time believing it.

This time next week, we will have the score of the JC vs. Greenup and Ashland vs. Greenup scores to discuss, which should give us a little bit of insight as to what we might expect when Ashland comes to town. I expect JC to handle Greenup County easily and then "upset" Ashland a couple of weeks later by at least a couple of touchdowns.

Wow, Thanks Dino, you just saved Ashland a huge embarassment! I am pretty sure they will go ahead an call the AD at CENTRAL and forfiet that game all together! Shoo, I don't know why these games should even be played sounds like you got it all figured out. Guess we can tell the guys they won't need those MUD CLEATS after all!

Go ahead Ashland and laugh it up now. It is a long ride back on 23 with a loss. With the new 6 class alignment, JC and Ashland will be seeing alot of each other over the next 30 seasons. Matney will leave his starters in the entire time against Ashland. And it wont be because he has too either.

When will you guys ever learn? Like I stated earlier, my three year old twins act older than some of you. This thread was supposed to be about the JC- Greenup Co. game.
