September 30, 200620 yr "The page worked for Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-La., who said Friday that when he learned of the e-mail exchanges 10 to 11 months ago, he called the teen's parents." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15063977/ You have to wonder why this is just now coming out, don't you? The more I read of this story, the more I marvel at how incredibly stupid Foley had to be, to commit these ramblings in an email. Does this guy not understand that emails are "saved" electronically? Frances
September 30, 200620 yr "We track library books better than we do sexual predators," Foley has said. Words of an apparent expert on the subject. If the allegations are true, this guy needs to go right now. From a political perspective, the timing is terrible for Republicans, and a potential windfall for Democrats, but that truly is secondary to the disgusting nature of Mr. Foley's inappropriate behavior. Get him outta there.
September 30, 200620 yr Author You have to appreciate the irony of the opening line of the site for the Clerk of the House of Representatives opening line for vacancies: "The Washington, D.C. office and the district offices of the Honorable Mark Foley ..." (emphasis mine) http://clerk.house.gov/members/electionInfo/Florida_16th/index.html Truly a misuse of the term. Frances
September 30, 200620 yr Author Maybe he meant Hornyable. LOL - probably just a typo. I wonder if they will begin using that title when they address each other in session. Frances
September 30, 200620 yr Stupidity knows no bounds. Is he related to Fletcher? Bringing up Fletcher has accomplished the inevitable - officially turned this into yet another whining thread.
September 30, 200620 yr Bringing up Fletcher has accomplished the inevitable - officially turned this into yet another whining thread. Don't be so hard on yourself, you've only whined a little bit so far.
September 30, 200620 yr Someone was holding onto this info until it could do the most damage. Your right, Dennis Haster (sp) when he told Folley to be careful last year.
October 1, 200620 yr I could care less if this damages my political party. The important thing is that a sexual predator has been identified and our kids are safer because of it.
October 1, 200620 yr Author Bringing up Fletcher has accomplished the inevitable - officially turned this into yet another whining thread. Unless I am mistaken, I think 75 Center would consider himself a conservative. Come to think of it, that really doesn't matter. Why is it whining, if someone (conservative or liberal) points out the fact that Fletcher made some bad moves? Frances
October 1, 200620 yr Author Someone was holding onto this info until it could do the most damage. Uh - are you aware that the Republicans have known about this for over a year, yet didn't make a move on it until it was brought up during an ABC interview? Like Fastbreak and TTC, I'm glad they've got this guy off the streets - regardless of party affiliation. Frances

I've got my donation packet on the coffee table, and you can prevent the Republicans from getting some $$$ if you can find me a link.
