Mayfield is playing as well as anyone in the state right now. The Tornado are figuring a lot of things out very fast. I've got a lot of things going through my mind that could happen in this game, but I'll keep it short and get to the point.

 

Tilghman gets a couple of much needed players back in the rotation this week that missed the first two games. I know I'm going way against the grain here, but I'm gonna say Tilghman in what looks to be a big upset, 21-17.

 

Good luck to both teams! I think they both have a lot of respect for one another.

It's great to have another voice here at BGP representing Tilghman. We look forward to your insight on the team this season. It would be great to see PT get back to their old winning ways.

A good friend of mine from Paducah has said that this PT team is "salty." Of course Mayfield is always salty, but I'm going to pick the upset too.

Looks like Harvey plans to attend this one as a Tornado VIP and it looks like Harvey plans on suiting up. The former Hurricane looks like it will be centered over the top of WKY right about kickoff and with the smash mouth power approach this should be a plus for the Blue. I still think even with Harvey in town that the Cards win

No running clock. Good coach with better athlete's than he had a at murray. I believe it will be closer because of coach Duncan's style of play which is real conservative but I still think Mayfield wins by 3 scores.

Never take PT for granted in this game but feel Big Red just too much after the half

My prediction of a score in this one will depend on whether or not it rains. If it's a wet and sloppy field and rain coming down the entire time I think it will slow down our passing attack and I look for it to be a low scoring game.

 

If Harvey decides to not show up for this one i think we run off with this one. Over confident? Maybe! We have so many weapons this year and I like how our offense is playing at this point. So far playing both of our qbs imo is working and it's successful. I like it. I like where it's going. Never count PT out but one dimensional teams hardly beat Mayfield.

 

Wet field, Mayfield wins in a low scoring game. Dry field, Mayfield wins by 3 TDS.

Mayfield won tonight's JV game 35-26 for those interested.

A wet track obviously favors PT. However, I wouldn't underestimate the young men who work the trenches for MF. They have been hearing many of the same things this week they heard all summer about Union City's lines. They answered that call and I expect they will rise to this challenge as well.

Mayfield is 4 scores better than PT. However, on a wet field it gets more interesting. Similar to the Union City game , if Mayfield gets up a couple scored, its over.

 

Nothing shocks me in this series, so if the Cards don't play their best.... watch out.
