I stopped and watched the Cov Cath practice. Very strong this year, with play makers at the skill positions. I think this could be CC's year to finally make it past the third round of the playoffs. Colonels win big in this one.

Sounds like Michael Spencer isn't going to be cleared to play his old team this week. "Paperwork" is being delayed by Covington Catholic.

Not that you are accusing them of anything...

Take it how you want.... people on here asked when he was going to be able to play for the Jaguars and it was to be this week except for this unexpected delay.

That'd be petty.

Would this young man start for Cooper and how much of a difference maker would he be for this game? don't believe that Covcath would delay this just to not play against Spencer. They didn't delay a kid who transferred to Highlands last year(and that kid was a starter).

Last week it was Newcath! All of the Catholics are against Cooper! :lol2:

Yes, Spencer would be the starting middle linebacker and would shore up the middle defense greatly for Jaguars.

As for this game, likely no where near enough a difference to give Cooper a chance against CC. But it would be good to get the kid on the feild working with his team in preparation for District, etc.

Cov Cath is not "holding up" paperwork. They have too much class for that and think very highly of Spencer. Its just the KHSAA process. He will be ready when the time comes. “Patience, grasshopper, good things come to those who wait."

I wish nothing but the best for this young man and he will be lucky to be eligible to play this season if he didn't move. The state can be difficult. Good luck Michael

I can respect that. If it is the KHSAA that is holding it up it really is a shame. It always seems easy for a kid to go from public to private schools... should be equally easy for them to return to public as long as it is the correct one based on residence.

Paperwork or not...M.Spencer or not... It's going be a blow out... CCH will score often & Cooper might not even score.

Yep, to the points made in both paragraphs. I've been asking about him on BGP. I like the kid and his family. He is a great competitor. His presence in the middle of the defense will make a difference for Cooper. He probably will be eligible just in time to play against Boone :ohbrother: ;)

Isn't there still a 10 practice break in period after he is cleared? 5 non-contact practices and 5 full pads? Is he already practicing with the team?
