Trinity 42 Warren Central (IN) 41

The state title isn't even a feather in Trinity's cap anymore. It's kind of sad that there is no other school in the state, private or public, who can compete with them and their infinite resources. They really need to go independent and just play nationally. It's not like they don't have the national players or exposure. A 5 year run is one thing. A 30 or 40 year dynasty is another. Trinity needs to move on to bigger and better things. The dollars they could earn would far outweigh the dollars they already make.

Or maybe the other schools in the state need to step up their game. But we all know it's easier to lower the bar then to raise it.

Now back to the game. Playoff atmosphere tonight. Very happy the good guys came away with a win. If there's a team with more speed then Warren Central I do not want to see them.

I agree with everything the Irish man just said. I have advocated that for years.

After reading some of your posts in the update thread it's obvious what your opinion is worth.

Where was the starting QB for Warren Central? Awesome win.
George was out after taking a hit to his lower back last week that forced him out during the second quarter. He dressed last night and lobbed the ball around a little but never participated in actual warm up drills.

Sounds like a reality check is needed:

If Trinity went "Independent" catastrophic insurance as part of membership in KHSAA would be null. No more games with Louisville Saint Xavier, or any other team in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee or Kentucky! These states all REQUIRE opponents to be members of their STATE ASSOCIATIONS. The four hour self-imposed travel restriction would have to be thrown out by the administration.

Coach Beatty loves designing state championship rings. The school enjoys adding to their collection of state championship trophies.

I wasn't lowering the bar for the rest of the state. I was raising the bar for T. Man. No need to be a glass-half-empty kinda guy. Hahaha!!

None given by Trinity website. IMVHO 3,500 tops. The interesting part of entering the stadium at 5:45PM for a 7:00 PM kickoff was going through a metal detector. All fans went through a metal detector and we were asked to empty our pockets, etc. Apparently, a gun was brought in to a basketball game last winter as well as a football game last season.

Security guards were very polite and would have rather been at home on a Friday evening. The Warren Central AD invited Trinity fan bus to tailgate around the bus if we desired! Another first!

78 yards given up the first game then 621.

Based on the post below, that is basically impossible and rather unnecessary. Plenty of good competition for them in their own city as well as other established teams in other states.

Just had a chance to watch the highlight video. Serious size and speed from WC, but there were also some missed tackles. That will have to get better.
