Boyle County opened by thumping John Hardin 41-6. They play an enigma of a Waggener team that garners preseason praise yet fails to deliver. Waggener got hammered by Lexington Christian 40-14 last week. Waggener is 0-3 all-time against Boyle County, with all three meetings coming in the playoffs - the last time in 2015

Boyle Co. 48-19.

Boyle County will win big

Waggener has a KHSAA roster listing 26 players.....Boyle is currently playing both Offensive and Defensive lineman one way only.

Waggener is sporting to major D1 players which should be fun to watch.

Tahj Rice for Waggener prevents an up the middle run game, but he can be beaten outside. Too much Boyle in this one.

Thread title has Boyle Co. as 5A in case someone wants to fix that.

Everyone knows that CHUCK SMITH decides what class he will play in. Not KHSAA or BGP.

He may just decide to play in both classes this year...

Maybe.... but the D1 Duke commit Tahj Rice will be going against the D1 Purdue commit Will Bramel. ACC vs B1G 10....Kentucky style!!

Waggener simply does not have the depth to play 4 competitive quarters. There are only 26 players listed on their roster (no Freshman). Boyle's up front guys are currently playing one-way. In my opinion, this makes for a very lop-sided matchup.

Hoping for a big Boyle win in the Rebel Bowl!!

Boyle 41

Wagerer 14

Boyle wins handily, but to all of you that are going to the game, you will really enjoy watching Brents and Harper play. Almost feels like a big play every time they touch the ball and the power and speed of Rice for someone his size is fun to watch. Great players, but this isn't basketball where 3 players make you a champion contender, but still fun to watch:ylsuper:

This should be an interesting game. A lot of big time talent on the field. Hopefully Waggener can turn it around and perform better than last week. We shall see.

LCA did a nice job of keeping Brents and Harper in front of them. They picked up some yards, but rarely got behind the defense (which obviously would have meant a touchdown). If Boyle can contain, then they'll win.
