Here's what I know.

 

I know Andy Dalton is capable of leading his team to the postseason.

 

I know Andy Dalton can beat playoff caliber teams.

 

I know Andy Dalton can win on the road in the NFL, and do so against playoff-caliber teams.

 

I know none of that about McCarron.

 

So if Bengals fans want to trade that in for the unknown, that's their prerogative, but it's my prerogative to think they're out of their gourds to do so.

The bolder is false. I already made a post that showed out of all the playoff teams I listed he played he only had a winning record over 2 of them and 1 of them are in his division where he plays them twice a year. Dalton only has a 20% winning percentage against those teams.

 

You forget that it was AJ who was the starter that clinched the last Bengals playoff season after just a couple NFL starts.

 

I do like your post though becaise it shows what many people think about Dalton yet isn't true. He doesn't beat playoff Cali WR teams. He loses to them more than beats them.

One last thing. Don't you think if Dalton could beat playoff teams like some of you actually think he can, we wouldn't be having this conversation?

I listen to a lot of sports talk. The consensus opinion of almost everyone I have heard who has watched the Bengals this pre-season is that McCarron has not looked good at all. The belief is the Bengals will keep Driskell and continue to groom him to be the #2. If McCarron is gone next year, no great loss in their opinion (not mine).

I been to about 7 Bengal practices. The first 3 i went to Dalton was on point, and McCarron wasn't quite as sharp. Now Driskell didn't do much at all and wasn't even completing passes. McCarron started looking really good at the end of training camp at least at the practices I went to.

 

As for Driskell he was impressive his first preseason game. However he only has 2 passes that looked good. 30 yards of his passing total came on a screen. He is very athletic though. However in the second preseason game he didn't look near as good. So I need to see more from him before I decide to even keep him on the roster, since keeping him means we cut another position that could possibly play.
