August 22, 20179 yr I am confident that if the Bengals are going to win a playoff game this year Andy Dalton is the one who gives them the best chance, that's all I want. I've said a million times I don't buy into the whole AJ's a winner, Daltons not a leader, Dalton is scared of the big stage. That's all garbage IMO. I want the guy out there with the better skillset and the better chemistry built up over 6 years of experience playing together. I'm taking Andy Dalton 10/10 times. There is a reason teams aren't knocking down the door to get AJ McCarron. If AJ is as good as you all believe him to be (which is at least on par with Andy Dalton) then he is worth every bit of a first round pick if that's what the Bengals are asking. By all accounts AJ McCarron has had a horrible training camp and basically backed up that assertion by looking a little lost out there Saturday night. Maybe that is O line play, maybe it's just AJ not playing great. Ive never been a proponent of change when that change is a gamble. I'm going to continue to roll with the safe bet which is Andy Dalton and hope that he can bring us a playoff win this year. The one thing I know for certain, if the Bengals win a playoff game this year, Andy Dalton will be the QB (barring injury). You keep talking about his chemistry with his teammates, is that why the best players outside AJ Green are leaving in droves? How about his own linemen who he has this great chemistry with? Shoot the 2 best we had left the first chance they had. His #2 and #3 receiver left last year. The chemistry and leadership you talk about is nothing more than a figment of your imagination. If it was a good as you say it is after 6 years, his teammates wouldn't be leaving, they'd want to stay if they believed Dalton could lead them to a Championship.

The Bengals didn't offer Marvin Jones and Sanu the type of money they got from their respective teams. You honestly believe players are leaving a team who has made the playoffs 5/6 years to go to the Lions because they don't like Andy? That's laughable.
August 22, 20179 yr We're NEVER going to agree on this, so there is no point in continuing to argue with someone who is seemingly incapable of reasoning. Until Andy falls flat on his face, he will be the QB. You may want to find a new team to root for. I hear the Browns change QB's often and will probably start at least 3 guys this year. If change is all you desire I think I found the team for you.Reasoning? I asked you a simple question that you refused to answer. The question was easy. You talked about how AJ was only mediocre through most of the playoff game and that is why you want Dalton to be the QB. Yet the fact still remains that "AJ Mediocrity" in the playoff game was still better than ANY game Dalton has had in the playoffs. So please explain why you would want a qb who plays worse in playoff games as your QB over one that plays better? That makes no sense at all except for the fact you would rather the team fail to prove your point than have the team succeed and admit your choice was the wrong QB.

I bet if you ask the majority of players (Who are already being paid millions) if they had a chance to win a SB ring would they stay with that team or would they leave for more money, many would choose a ring because they already have millions. Many athletes choose to take less for a chance to win.

I answered your question a billion times already...

Many athletes choose to take less for a chance to win. The Bengals didn't pay them either. They didn't leave by choice man. You honestly think they left to go play for 2 of the worst teams in the league. The Browns literally made Kevin Zeitler the highest paid guard in the league. You ZERO ground to stand on. The Bengals were not going to pay Whit. If he wanted to keep playing football he had to go to the Rams.

Sanu for instance in 4 years playing in Cincy with Dalton as his QB only had 1 season where he caught more passes than he did in 1 year in Atlanta. Marvin Jones JR also out of 4 seasons in Cincy only had 1 year in Cincy that he had more receptions than he had in his 1 year in Detroit. Yea, I think both will agree they are in a better situation and a lot has to do with their current QB's.

Also Jones went from 2 to 1 and Sanu went from 3 to 2 on their respective depth charts. Common sense tells you they will get more catches that way.
August 22, 20179 yr Keep ignoring the question I posed. Why would you want a worse QB to play in a playoff game for your team than one that already proved he is better in playoff games?
August 22, 20179 yr Keep ignoring the question I posed. Why would you want a worse QB to play for your team than one that already proved he is better in playoff games?I answered your question. 80% success rate was my answer.
August 22, 20179 yr I answered your question. 80% success rate was my answer. Where do you get 80% success rate from? Success at what? Look at the 2 QB's stats in playoff games. AJ has the highest rating of the 2. AJ also led the team back from a deficit which Dalton has never ever ever done in a playoff game. AJ also threw for as many TD's in 1 game as Dalton has in total in 4 Games. So not sure what hat you drew 80% out of. Last I checked Dalton has 0% success in playoff games.

To win a playoff game you have to get there first. Andy has proven he can get there. I'm not throwing that away for a guy we don't know if he can achieve that same level of success.
August 22, 20179 yr You guys can argue the AD/AJ issue till the cows come home but the bottom line is they still have Marvin and Mikey calling the shots. Until that changes this franchise is stuck in neutral and going nowhere in a hurry.

Hey, I understand I won't convince you with facts so we will just leave it as it is. I will keep wanting another QB to lead this team because the current one has proven he can't. And you can keep enjoying watching other teams play in the SB. We willjust leave this debate there.

Like I said I really think you need to find a new team. The Bengals clearly are not an organization that share the same philosophy as you do. There are plenty of others who have tried to win with your philosophy like the Browns. Or you can sit back and relax and enjoy the most successful run in franchise history and watch as Andy Dalton leads this team to a playoff win.
