Neither one of them seemed to remember it, so I played it for them. They said they never heard it. I was amazed because I remember it being on the radio often. I have heard of the 10cc song, but only heard that for the first time a couple years ago on Sirius when they had the special Yacht Rock Channel. And I had no idea Argent (who I have heard of) did the original version of "God Gave Rock and Roll".

I'll admit there's likely a lot of people that don't know Argent originally did God Gave Rock and Roll To You. 47. Grew up listening to 70's pop on the radio and still listen to the 70's station on Sirius quite a bit, and consider myself a music geek. I'm familiar with more than a few 10cc songs, but honestly never remembered hearing Dreadlock Holiday before hearing it on Sirius a couple years ago.
