You've Never Heard That Song?! Seriously?!

One of my favorites. My wife swears she had never heard of it.

Little-known fact. Donnie Iris was the lead singer for The Jaggerz, who had a big hit "The Rapper" around 1969 or 1970.

Iris was also in the group Wild Cherry, famous for "Play that Funky Music"

i was recently talking to a teen who loves to sing. She sings at school events and at fairs, etc. I named a few of the older groups and asked her had she ever heard of them and she answered she didn't like the older music. So I had remembered one of the songs she had sung at one of the events was Megan Trainor's "Dear Future Husband". I asked her did she realize that song was a ripoff of a 1961 hit by Dion called "Runaround Sue", and that it was very similar to the "old" music that she didn't like. She looked it up on her tablet and played it and agreed that other than the lyrics it was very similar to Trainor's song.

Some of the best music ever recorded came out of the '50's through the '70's era.
