June 12, 20179 yr Greene is still throwing for MLB teams. Here is another quote; Minnesota also hosted Greene for a workout at Target Field on Friday, and he impressed with a fastball that reached 100 mph and four homers during batting practice.
June 12, 20179 yr Some buzz the Vandy kid goes first which would make the Reds decision really hard. All signs point towards Hunter Green at #2, and I'm pretty excited about that. Obviously he's not a sure thing but he seems electric.
June 12, 20179 yr Would be disappointed if the Reds passed on McKay if he doesn't go #1 but that's driven by my bias. Greene has bigger upside, but is farther away and has bigger downside as well. They pointed out on SAT that with ~100 IP already by the time CWS ends, whoever drafts him is unlikely to have him throw many innings in 2017. Would be a good opportunity to let him hit and play 1B the rest of the year when he gets assigned and then start planning his trajectory (hitter v. P v. hybrid) from there.

June 12, 20179 yr Author Boom! Best talent in the draft. I'd imagine he'll enter the top 100 list in the top 10-15 right away. Kid has star potential as a SS or RHP.
