This is exactly the kind of thing that should be investigated but is almost never brought to light by the media. For instance, I remember untold stories about the failure of Bush's "No Child Left Behind" education policy. But I never heard a comparison of "No Child Left Behind" with whatever went before it and I was specifically listening for it. Were its results better or worse than his predecessor's education policy? There is always plenty of bad news regarding the educational system to be reported. But have there been areas of improvement or areas of decline? That would make for good journalism. Then the people could look at it and know whether there were some good things about it or if it was all hogwash. All I know is that our education system is always being criticized. What i don't know is whether one President's policies have been better than another's. Or whether presidential policy even has an impact on local education.

 

This is why it seems the media is advocating for a political agenda. Seldom do you get a story with enough substance to really consider the implications. The impression I have is that there is just enough information to manipulate your opinion or even worse, your emotions, towards a specific viewpoint. Another example of this was when Bush was in the last year of his presidency and the media carried daily statistics of the deaths and injures of US servicemen and -women in the war on terror. That reporting stopped after Obama was elected although the deaths and injuries of US servicemen and -women continued.

 

I think the thing about this study by Harvard is that the Ivy League institution is hardly a bastion of Tea Party faculty members and so the study is most likely not slanted with a conservative bias.

 

That was my point. I am not advocating what is right or wrong, just the way it is. If the POTUS continues to go after them, they will ramp it up more. Not bright for the POTUS to do this. He should ignore as much possible. IMO.

That is the lesson they should learn from the last election. They all but crowned Hillary two weeks before the election even occurred and then looked horribly disappointed as the results were trickling in from the precincts across the country.

 

It was a bad look on them then as is their obvious bias against Trump now. And this (meaning my post) is coming from a person who does not like Trump.

When you declare war (so to speak) on mainstream media. What else would you expect? They have the ink, as they say and barrels and barrels of it.

I am glad he did. Maybe, if nothing else, going forward, people will be careful about what they hear and making judgements based solely on media who are owned and project the leanings of liberals who do not represent values of the majority of our country. PS: Nor does this state that far right conservatives represent the majority. There are MANY, thinking people who are conservative on some issues and liberal on others. These people want fact based reporting without agenda, and it is hard to find.

 

I am personally considering a boycott on Amazon, owned by Jeff Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post and is running a vendetta against the President. Is he one of the greedy, wealthy businessmen the liberals (including himself) want to take down? I wonder how he looks in the mirror?

Also, interestingly enough, Bezos's business tactics make Donald Trump look like a choir boy.
