Worst tourist traps in all 50 states

It's religious and that's frowned on.

Its not really religious though, it's based on the bible. To be religious, it would have to focus on a primary point of view of one religion.

I didn't realize it cost that much. That's a big day for a family of 5. I'll pass. Ok I agree lol

There could be a BGPer that could get you steeply discounted tickets.....just saying..... you might know a guy.....:sssh:

Honestly, my family would like to at least check it out, but I wouldn't be willing to pay that much. I would go at a discounted rate.

I've been to Buffalo Bills grave in Colorado. The place itself is beautiful. Great views of Golden, Co below the mountain top. Also could see downtown Denver in the distance. You can see the grave itself and a few other things for free. It does cost to enter the museum, but it was pretty reasonable. Both my kids 12 & 13 at the time really enjoyed the museum. It might not be for everybody, but I'm not sure it belongs on the same list as places like South of the Border in South Carolina.

Agree. Unbelievable view up there.

I forgot that Kansas had the World's Largest Ball of Twine, otherwise I'd have nominated a little place called "Prairie Dog Town", a strange little place right off the highway in the desolate waste between Topeka, KS and Denver, CO.

Ain't that the truth. I've driven into or across 35 states and that stretch of I-70 is by far the most miserable drive that I have ever taken.

Agreed. Worst car trip I've ever done. It'll take some real persuasion for me to ever agree to drive that far again.

I've been to 12

Colorado—Buffalo’s Bill’s Grave--A nice little sidetrip, with great views of the area.

Delaware—Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk--Completely disagree.

Illinois—Magnificent Mile--Completely Disagree

Indiana—NCAA Hall of Champions--Nice place to visit, not bad at all

Louisana—Bourbon Street--Completely disagree

Minnesota—Mall of America--Not my favorite place, but not bad

Nevada—Venetian Gondolas--agreed

New Jersey—Atlantic City Boardwalk--agreed....very depressing place to visit

New York—Times Square--Completely disagree

Pennsylvania—The Liberty Bell--Completely disagree

South Carolina—South of the Border--agreed

Texas—The Alamo--disagree. It is kind of weird how it's right in the middle of San Antonio.

Only been to four (I avoid tourist traps).

Florida - been to Epcot 3 times and like it.

NY - Been to Times Square and liked it.

SC - Been to SOTB twice and it should be on the list.

And Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Don't see how it's on the list. Surely Delaware has someplace worse. Or maybe, with apologies to rjs, there's nothing else there.

Rehoboth doesn't belong on the list. I've been trying to think of a more appropriate place, and am struggling to come up with one. There really isn't another major tourist destination, except maybe Dover Downs which is a cookie cutter casino that is highly overrated and overpriced.
