I had a serious discussion about UFOs two days ago that sent chills up and down my spine, I may share it in full in the Tech Forum soon.

Does anyone believe Huckabee's daughter when she says she heard from "countless" FBI agents who were thankful for the firing? FBI agents called the press office? Zero chance.

 

I believe she heard from some Agents, how many or to what degree who knows.

I had a week of golf with former FBI personnel from the Cincy office. There are 4 in our group of 16. They are all retired and have been for several years. I concur that they all seem to be of high integrity. They are not Trump fans but loathe HRC. They didn't so much Obama and had some level of respect for him, although I doubt any voted for him or liked him, but HRC they did not hide their dislike and had no respect for her.

 

They stated the same things you have, but that was before the firing. I will find out soon and get their take on it.

 

They know what I would say and answer the question I asked. If they thought I was wrong we would have a good discussion. If they thought I was right they'd probably say little and move the conversation to something else.

 

 

One of them was an investigator in the Pete Rose stuff. Although he would not tell me/us specifics or anything about the case. He did tell us all kinds of stuff about Pete and his opinion of him.

Key issues that warrant response (and haven't been addressed in my review of the past 16 pages):

 

Who believes Huckabee's daughter that she has been contacted by "countless" FBI agents expressing relief that Comey was dismissed?

 

Who believes Acting FBI Director McCabe's sworn testimony that Comey did / still does command widespread respect within the FBI?

 

One of the above is lying.

 

Who is concerned by the administration's changing story about why Comey was fired and when that decision was made. Prior to the Trump interview with Lester Holt, Spicer, Sanders & even Pence made clear statements that Trump acted upon the recommendation of DAG and fired Comey. When that story began to fall apart (at least in part due to sourced reporting that DAG was not happy about being the scapegoat & sourced reporting showing Trump asked for the recommendation), Trump went 180 degrees and told Holt he had been planning to fire Comey for a long time.

 

While we all should agree that Trump had the RIGHT to fire Comey, we are discussing the wisdom of doing so. Also, although Trump is not obligated to provide a reason for firing Comey, can we all agree that if he DOES give a reason, the reason given should be the truth and not a lie?

 

My guess is Comey is smart enough to have documented a bunch of this. Now that he has been fired, I'm guessing he will publicly take as high a road as he can while still telling the truth (particularly when under oath). However, behind the scenes I am betting he will be providing very juicy information & documentation to reporters anxious to chop Trump down. The "loyalty demand dinner" is just the 1st of many such leaks that will threaten whatever credibility Trump may still have. Making an enemy of a former FBI Director when the MSM is frothing at the mouth to bring you down may not have been the wisest decision.

I believe Comey commanded a lot of respect at the time of his termination. I also believe Comey's approval rating was at an all time low within the FBI when he tanked the Clinton Email Investigation. In short, law enforcement officers often get upset with their leadership for various reasons, basically because the leaders too often take a do as I say instead of do as I do approach, but law enforcement officers also know you have to get over it real quick and move on with business. Probably a combination of he is the boss and I have no choice but to like him and maybe a little Stockholm Syndrome. In short, I think both are true, and no one has to be lying.

 

I am concerned about the changing story. Not because I think firing Comey was the wrong thing to do, but because it shows me President Trump is unorganized and impulsive at times and that scares me.

 

I think President Trump had a laundry list of reasons, a couple legit, and several suspect. I don't think he is necessarily lying but I definitely agree we are not getting anything near the whole truth. As a defense, I think Politicians not giving the American Public the whole truth is standard operating procedure.

 

I agree Comey is super duper smart. However, if he is a righteous man, he won't do a political hack job, he will tell the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
