Question I posed earlier and I am hoping you can answer ... when you conduct an investigation, do you always present the evidence to the prosecutor for them to decide whether to prosecute? What percent of the time do you take the case to the prosecutor and how do you decide when and when not to do so?

 

Simple and/or cases with a lot of strong evidence often result in an immediate arrest. In KY that means the prosecutor is cut out of the loop to start and takes over your case once you make the arrest. For very serious cases that take a lot of investigation - like the Clinton Email Investigation - law enforcement (which would have been Comey) investigates the case and brings their evidence to a prosecutor. If the prosecutor agrees then you and the prosecutor draw up a criminal complaint/warrant, get a Judge to sign it, and make an arrest.

 

If I were to do what Comey did (go public with a case with overwhelming incriminating evidence and start talking about intent) one of two things would have happened to me. First, and this definitely would have happened, I would never have been allowed to investigate a serious matter again and second, and I think more likely, I would have been terminated for a host of reasons.

If he does speak and or writes a book I am curious to know what he thought about Holder and Lynch.

I wonder if he was ever pressured by Obama or anyone in his Administration to not pursue charges on Hillary or Clinton Foundation.

If reports during the election were true this is very believable . There were multiple reports that internally many were unhappy with Comey's decision on Hillary. So I fail to how this would be shocking.

The Comey statement released today before his testimony tomorrow confirms that he did in fact tell the POTUS on 3 separate occasions that he was not being investigated.
