May 10, 20179 yr Have heard it's outstanding. Wife and I were all ready to start booking a return trip to St. Lucia last spring for this coming fall when we found the two of us was about to be three. Now that trip has been changed to a Disney trip. :lol2:

May 10, 20179 yr Author You must be rich! Sandals resorts are expensive!! Enjoy!! Definitely not rich haha! I am pretty tight on money with most things (except beer) so it allows us to splurge one last time. My knees and back definitely take the burden with all the beer vending I do on the side haha!

May 11, 20179 yr I know someone who booked Sandals Antigua for his honeymoon. A very last minute passport problem, noticed when they arrived at the airport, prevented them from flying at the last minute. Naturally, they were greatly disappointed. Unfortunately, the literally spent hours and several hundred dollars rescheduling the trip. Sandal reps suddenly couldn't be reached and they were put on hold for extended periods of time. They did not want to honor pre-paid excursions, but finally did. They promised to email confirmation numbers, but failed to do so requiring repeated phone calls. Sandals gave them a ton of problems, but finally did reschedule the trip. They are going in September. The place looks incredible! Hope you enjoy your trip, and I really hope you do not end customer service. I am curious what your flights are like. It isn't an easy place to get to.

May 11, 20179 yr Save that Disney trip for about 4-5 years. :lol2: Fact! When kids are around 8-9. Many parent make ther mistake of taking very young ones there. It's a very costly mistake.

May 11, 20179 yr Author I am curious what your flights are like. It isn't an easy place to get to. We had an option of flying from CVG to Atlanta and then to Antigua, but it was a 55 minute layover in ATL and I wasn't comfortable with that in that airport. Talked the wife into knocking the trip down from 7 days to 6. Now we are flying into Miami and I believe Charlotte on the way home.
May 11, 20179 yr We looked into going to another all-inclusive this year but decided to stay within the U.S. so we are headed to Key West in June! We will be celebrating Mr. Cat's big 5-0!
May 11, 20179 yr We fly our Learjet down there every other week. Seriously, haven't been, but it sounds great, and I hope you enjoy every minute of it. I have heard Sandals resorts are first rate, but we did go somewhere in the Caribbean every year for many years, but stayed at Superclubs when they existed, Couples or a timeshare. I usually shopped for deals and got some good ones over the years. With a farm and grandkids spread around to visit, I don't see the islands in my future.
