What exactly are we supposed to discuss if it's not being released until tomorrow?

Side note: Is it that hard for people to refer to him as "President Trump"? Always was a pet peeve of mine with President Obama and President Bush, and still is under the current POTUS.

Trump has already leaked out that his plan will include a 15% corporate tax rate, a big drop from the current corporate rate of 35%.

The question then becomes how to balance that against other middle-class tax cuts abd become revenue neutral. It looks like Trump will face some serious opposition from Paul Ryan and other conservative Republicans who are focused on being revenue neutral.

15% of something is better than 35% of nothing.

They will use the "trickle down" theory to pay for the cuts.

There also is some talk that there may be changes made to the 401K tax rules. If they change the 401K from a pre-tax plan to a Roth 401k, that generates a lot of tax revenue now that can help pay for the corporate tax cut.

Both Roth and Pre-tax 401k exist now. Also Wall Street seems to love it. Market boomed today.

I don't see how we can pay for this.

"We're all Keynesians now."

Pay for what ? Corporations keep money overseas now because of our high rates.

There needs to be spending cuts and deregulations to go along with this. But Corporate rate reduction has been a long time coming.

Where will the spending cuts come from? And I am a huge fiscal conservative, but I am just wondering where spending will be cut?

I'm also all for cutting the corporate tax rate, but 20% seems steep all at once. I'm skeptical about our ability to offset the difference is all.

The math can be looked at another way. 35% down to 15% is a 57 percent reduction.

The part of the equation that is being missed is the money we do not get now. Also most of the huge Corporations find loop holes or park overseas. This helps smaller corporations more than anyone.

Only two countries have a higher Corporate Tax rate than the US. The United Arab Emirates which is one of the wealthiest countries in the world (due to sitting on a pile of oil) and Puerto Rico which is in near financial ruin.
