I think no one appreciates what a great team Sommerset has. I know that they started off slow but against that schedule who wouldn't.

They will be like Corbin and play weaker competition throughout the district and win hands down. Then no one will remember the slow start.

 

As far as the game goes, they name the score against an smaller, weaker, and slower team.

Although Williamsburg has not played a demanding schedule, I believe that too many people are underestimating the Jackets..............I'll have to go with Somerset in a close game with Cole being the difference.

Are you saying Somerset will run up the score? I hope not, against Cumberland they put up so many points because they couldn't quite get the score to the point where they had a running clock and Cumberland kept scoring. They ran the ball most of the 2nd half and took a knee on an extra-point rather than score 70. They did this because after the Franklin Co. game Coach Cobb said that he didn't like having 70 hung on him. Somerset will score plenty but it won't be any worse than it has to be, besides as long as Somerset's defense tackles like it has in the past they won't get that far ahead anyway.

Somerset will be in overdrive by the time the Green dragons roll in. The Dragons have a great team this year but they will be outmatched by the BRIAR JUMPERS. Jumpers win by 4 touchdowns.

As a Warren East poster, I must say that John Cole is on another level. He nearly beat us by himself! I'd say, if that kid has grades, he'll be in the big time in two years. Somerset is a darn good football team, that can make a 2 hour bus ride and knock your socks off.

Cumberland/Harlan is a rivarly in county game that is always competitive. Comparing by that game doesn't tell you much about Harlan being able to hang with the Briar Jumpers. But, its not worth an arguement. The kids will decide it on the field. The Jumpers certainly have a talented group of kids and are well coached. However, overconfidence can beat you, so again, don't count Harlan out.
