Kentucky High School Football Helmets: F- thru G-

Featured Replies

That is the worst batch yet!

With that said, that Fairview helmet is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

I like the Fulton County color scheme... Wish they did baby blue facemasks though to match the jersey or at the very least white.

Glasgow is the big loser of the group. It's one thing to steal the Tiger Paw when you are the Tigers or another variation of Cat... but when you are a dog...especially a creative dog such as The Scotties... I expect a little more creativity. Knock off a knock off that everyone knocks off? Not Good.... but to waste an opportunity to be great makes Glasgow one of my least favorite helmet attempts in the State.

The Greenup and Green thing is funny as well.

Someone get those two together on a neutral field where the fans don't know who is home and who is away.

With that said, that Fairview helmet is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Saw them live last year and it's an even better look in person.

Fern Creek will be changing decals this year, our new uniforms have a darker orange and the FC is a lighter metallic orange with chrome shadow. We will be going with some form of a tiger head logo, likely one of the versions of Missouri's decals. Coach Abell still has about 4-5 different versions he is considering

If you can shoot me a picture once they've selected them I'll gladly update the post for Fern Creek.

There are an awful lot of blank helmets in this batch. How about a little imagination, folks?

I have heard Fleming County is going to have something on theirs this year.

Maybe my favorite logo of a Kentucky high school.

First thing that came to mind is why don't they utilize this guy on their lids.

What is that on the back of Franklin County's helmet. I magnified and it almost appears to be a Spartan.

Graves County is pretty sharp and unique. I think Douglass will look sharp, the others really don't hit the mark for me.

Check out the thread Franklin County Flyers (New Lids) for the whole details on the back logo. Short story version, it is an award decal given to a few players based on off season efforts. Cool idea

Grave County has been wearing that eagle sticker for the last 3-4 years.

They've had the paw for a long time; as in I can remember them using it back in the 80's. They've gone bt and the Green Bay "G" look for years.

Dog, cat, doesn't matter to me. Then again, I've never understood why the Philadelphia style eagle wings are only used by teams that are "Eagles"; Falcons fly, Cardinals fly, Hawks fly, Ravens, etc. They all have wings. Lol

I'd imagine a Green County/Greenup County game would be confusing for the viewer!

Greenup actually switched to dark green helmets last season with an oversized g.

You're right. Looks like I missed that one. Thanks for catching that, coupon21. I'll swap that out up in the original Greenup County post.

Didn't Greenwood used to have maroon more heavily involved in their color scheme?
