old Cardinal stadium could still be used...

You're joking, right? Half of the stands were condemned prior to the state game in 2002. I can't even imagine how dumpy that place is at this point. And who knows, maybe they are hosting the tractor pul nationals there this weekend.

Even though word was going around that the game was cancelled and it was to be treated as if it had never been played, look at the KHSAA rule in the rulebook as pertains to a game not being able to be finished. If I read it correctly then Trinity is listed with a 10-0 victory? Whay do you guys think?

From KHSAA Handbook - Just looked it up earlier today -

2) If game interrupted and cannot be resumed, three

choices exista)

Terminate game with score as it exists;

b) Resume game at point of interruption at a mutually

agreed date and time. This decision must be finalized

at the site prior to team departure.

c) Resume the game on the following calendar day,

unless published Board policies prohibit such play, in

which case it shall be played the following day.3) If game interrupted

a) Same crew of officials expected to return to complete

contest

b) Substitute officials shall be paid the local policy board

mileage add-on only

c) Local associations shall develop policy on compensation

of substitute officials (such as pooling game fees, etc)

d) Officials have no say in the postponement decisions,

except to moderate discussion.

e) Officials and coaches should involve not solely coaches,

but school administrators in the decision.

f) All involved must remember that this situation is caused

by elements such as weather that are uncontrollable by

anyone, and keep the discussions in that perspective.

Nope...even though the scoreboard still stands the controller has been taken out of the pressbox and the company that made the board is no longer in business. It cannot be used.

St. X cant be happy about that.

The way the game was going, it could have gotten worse.

Just got word from a pretty good source (great source in fact) that its official, Trinty wins 10-0.

Spoke to a player who said coach B says it IS a win.

I am mildly curious if the Cantrell, Lit, etc. take the little bit that was played, in the event that the decision stands, into next week's rankings.

Good question...

The way the game was going, it could have gotten worse.

Im thinking it would have.

Seriously, I'm sure it's terribly disappointing to the players, but to those of us out here in the sticks that have been deprived all our lives, it really doesn't mean a thing.

Then stay in "the sticks" and not on this thread. Perhaps the converse of the new "t and x rule" needs to be applied here.

St. X cant be happy about that.

In addition to that, I've heard that Vic Anderson was hurt on the play prior to Duece's fumble. Any X folks know if that is accurate?

If the game does not resume, then I win a few dollars. Hate to win money that way, but if 3 more quarters were played, X might have been embarrassed. Good job Rocks for the few minutes you played tonight. I'm a little wet, need to dry off.......

T player advised Vic broke his arm but on TV they said it was a leg injury....
