President is a 24/7 job. If he is on the golf course, he is working. This is true for all Presidents. In actuality, there is no such thing as a vacation when you are President, no matter where you are or what you are doing.

It would be nice if we could just send in the CIA to assassinate him like in the movies. Save a lot of lives in the process. But, I don't think it really works like how the movies portray it, so that's likely not gonna happen. He's supposedly already killed around 5,000+ people throughout his reign. Hopefully now it's his time to go as well as anyone that supports him.

Yeah but we usually still get a "casualties expected, no casualties expected" disclaimer. We know where we hit, we know we told the Russians about it while the missiles were on the way, we know the damage done, we know it was the base where they believe the chemical weapons were released and we also know ISIS is set up close by in the area. We don't know if there are any casualties. Just seems to me that if no one died this wasn't an exercise of strength or a message sent. It was just an exercise like those missiles North Korea keeps shooting into the ocean.

As far as the mass graves I was talking about jets, not people lol. I doubt that they had time to warm up the planes and get out of there, but that's just a guess. Honestly I have no idea how much warning they had though so like I said that would just be a guess. Either way it appears that they have lost one of their top priorities for an airbase. If nearly 60 tomahawks hit that place it's done for. A bit different than just busting up some concrete.

So that leads me to another question: Are we ready to take out all Syrian airbases? What happens then? Do we not give advance warning next time, and "accidentally" take out a bunch of Russian AF planes? What happens then?

 

And if we're tough talking about blasting North Korea off the map, which would likely turn China into a belligerent against us, wouldn't we need Russia as an ally on China's northern border to keep them in check, given China has 5x the number of people as us?

We already know where the air bases are, if we want to take them out we can. If by some chance your scenario proved to be true, I don't think we would care about the Russian jets being there. The Russians know what's going on, if they lose some jets because they didn't get them out then that's on them.

The questions being asked in here are silly. We took out an air base to send a message not start a war. If we wanted to cripple them there were more valuble targets. This was a message and a precursor.

 

Obviously fueling stations and airways were destroyed. I'm sure some planes as well. But heck the bigger power move is if we did warn and they knew they could not do anything but retreat.
