Well the president is a double agent working for Russia and is complicit in the chemical attacks so don't expect to much.

I think everyone is complicating this issue. This is a very simple straightforward response to use of chemical weapons. It isn't part of a new plan in Syria other than just that - if you use chemical weapons we will not allow it to go unpunished.

 

I prefer that this be the end of our response for now. the only additional thing I would do if I were Trump would be to make it clear that if chemical weapons are ever used again our response will be more forceful than this response. I would not detail what that response would look like. I would leave that up to Assad to wonder.

When he fires Bannon I'll give him plenty of credit. When he does something I wholeheartedly agree with then I'll give him plenty of credit. As of today, 4/9/17, he hasn't done a single thing I agree with. He can't even bomb Syria correctly. He's not getting credit for that from me. He'll get credit from me when he shows real strength and wipes them off the map and points our guns at Russia. Until then he's just as weak as Obama was.

I enjoyed reading Trumps thoughts about bombing Syria back in 2013. His tweets his thoughts.

I don't see Obama as being weak. He actually made some aggressive moves on the national defense side. Some of them didn't produce great results but they weren't weak.

 

In Syria, I don't have a problem with 2013. If Obama had not made the red line comment, I believe most people would be ok with how he responded. The end result was an agreement that removed chemical weapons. It was a step towards the current response. He tried to get Congress to back a military strike - and Congress is inept and too partisan to do that. Obama's biggest mistake was the red line comment. His second mistake was thinking an impotent Congress could make a significant decision - especially one that would impact re-election for many.

Who else was going to do it? It needed done and we just happened to have a couple of more than capable ships sitting off the coast to handle the task at hand. We've been involved with what's going on in Syria for quite some time now, so why wouldn't we react especially considering Syria isn't supposed to have chemical weapons in the first place.

Chemical weapons were removed. A Nobel Peace Prize was awarded for removal. The fact that chemical weapons still exist and were used is the fault of the Russians. Under the agreement they were supposed to make sure that never happened
