Congrats to Nicholas on moving forward. I'm also surprised at the narrow margin, but it's survive and advance at this point.

Hard seeing the Lady Bears with another 3 point loss to a team that was supposed beat them by 20 to end their season. It was a great played game by Bracken County. Grace Kiskaden was the difference with 6 made threes.

Great hard fought game by both teams.

Last nights game with 17 seconds left and Bracken with the ball. Coach Letcher had 2 fouls to give before Bracken entered the bonus so he was not going to give up a 3 or at least an uncontested 3. Give credit to the Lady Jackets defense for not allowing a 3 at the end.

I understand that but at the end with 4 seconds left and down 3, the shot of choice should not be a six foot jumper. You have no choice at that point but to attempt a 3. Not enough time to risk the 2. They did this last year against Mason, down 3 and driving to the basket to try to score a 2 with 4-5 seconds left. This is not discrediting Nicholas County's defense at all, just the questionable offensive calls at the end.

Easy to say this, but without a timeout left for the betterment of the last two minutes and kids in a regional tournament enviroment its much easy to say this. Nicholas defense prevented the 3 and Bracken was out of sorts as it was hard for them to even in bounds the ball both from side court and under the basket. Tough for the kids, they fought hard and all but a lull early in the 4th quarter and without that stretch the Lady Bears played well enough to win. Great thing about high school basketball, its 32 minutes.

Stafford was huge for Nicholas. Continue to be impressed with her.

I made the statement in the prediction thread that if NC came out like they did vs Harrison, that this game would be close and it was. Congrats to BC on ending the season with a strong showing.
