I continue to be amazed that CNN gets all the heat and MSNBC, by far the most liberal news media outlet, gets no heat at all.

 

I think that's by design. Trump is targeting outlets people turn to for information, not the ideological driven places like MSNBC or Vox or whatever. As much as I loathe CNN, it's the channel likely to be on at the gym or where more casual observers turn during breaking events. If you're flipping to Fox or MSNBC you're already converted.

 

But if Trump (read: Bannon) turns reading prominent newspapers or turning on a mainstream news channel into an inherently partisan act then they've succeeded. There'll be no credible source to turn to and that means all criticism is illegitimate. "Truth is treason in an empire of lies."
