I would prefer to see the following teams at the Sweet 16 based on who I think would be the most fun to watch and make it the most entertaining tournament taking into account things like the quality of team, star power, style of play, etc:

I tried to pick teams that have a legitimate chance to win the region. About half are probably the favorite, and the other half would fall in the 2-3 range in their region.

 

Are their any teams or players you think would make for a more fun state tournament?

Bracken County in the 10th, like 1955! Probably won't make a run but it's nice to see a Cinderella every once in a while. Also Paris because they are a Class A school too.

West Carter in the 16th. Would the the first regional championship in school history.

Always fun when a school makes their first trip. Their cheering section is typically electric.

If fortunate to make it, it would also be Fern Creek's first trip.

3 Apollo (Catholic would be fine as well. They don't make it to Rupp very often)

4 Bowling Green (fun team to watch. Great athletes)

9 Cooper (CovCath would be another good choice, good team and have those 'Crazies')

10 Paris (Campbell will probably win but I would like to see this small school make it)

13 Knox Central (another school that hasn't been to state in a while)

14 Perry Central (the Commodores are on a 6 year state drought, an etenity for them)

15 Pikeville (another small school and they have the same school colors as my home school)

16 Elliott County (I'm friends to their former coach, Rick Mays, so I always root for Elliott, plus as with Pikeville, they have the same school colors as my Owsley school. That's always a good reason to cheer for someone, )
