It must have been the rain that got in all of the Johnson Co. faithfull's eyes to prevent them from seeing correctly that the field goal was no good. :D

Wait until October 20th... it's not going to come down to a field goal this year!

I forget his name, but Male's kicker did it to Manual 2 years in a row. That kid had ice in his veins, as mentioned in the C-J. With the crowds that were there, that guy must've been a hero for Male.

 What's Oct. 20?

The date circled on just about everybody in Johnson County's calendar since this year's JCHS football schedule was released.

And there will always be those among us who continue to stir that field goal pot on here, but the majority of Eagle players and fans are going to let our cheering and our playing tacitly express our collective opinion on the field that night.

Last year Ryle lost by a blocked field goal that would have sent them to round 2 of the playoffs, i think it was Fern Creek, is that right?

Referees are human, they make mistakes just like everybody else. The Johnson Central faithfull believe that field goal was good, Ashland got the win though. The game this year wont come down to a field goal.

You sound as confident as Russell did and... well we know. It will be a good game, and Im looking forward to the trip. Field goals are just as important as touchdowns sometimes. Points are points, and it doesnt matter if you win by 1 or 100. I guess the game that would have to stick out in my mind would be the Ashland/Ironton game that was decided by 1 point. Right down to the very last it couldve gone either way and a field goal settled the affair.

Hence the name "FOOTball",

Yoter

I believe that Corbin beat Middlesboro in 1980 or 1981 on a Greg Taylor fieldgoal at the end of the game?

1980 Trinity vs J-town....Mike Otis kicked a 52 yarder to beat Jtown and send the Rocks into the playoffs

Yes I will agree, you all are doing a good job of it.

JC has a really good shot of going into the Ashland game 8-0. Imo, the crowd that night (depending on the weather) could be bigger than last years apple bowl. I cant wait to discuss this game!

The Tomcat game is circled on everybody's schedule. We wouldn't have it any other way! If you beat us, good for you. We'll say good game and see you next year. It should be a dandy. I wish it was this week! I hate off weeks.

I got off topic... Sorry

Ram...Richard Fangman. We don't have him this year and Good luck friday.
