The way I read it, the two schools with the highest enrollment are the top two teams in the class rankings. I don't see that as whining. I see that as fact. :thumb:

What's so interesting about that FACT, unless you need to make something out of it? I've heard enrollment as an excuse for performance for 5 weeks now. Was anyone whining about Western's enrollment numbers last year when they weren't in the AP top 10? :sssh:

The KHSAA has their own website...those who want to discuss enrollment numbers and classifications need to go there and take it up with them. Otherwise it will be considered whining and excuse making. :argue:

If you want to talk about facts...Mercer and Western are playing good football, and the AP rankings are opinion based.

I remember them being the in the top ten as the season wore on and may have been a top five team. And maybe they don't see a need to whine about anything

The only people I've read whining on the board are some of the thin-skinned people from Mercer Co. You just need to accept the fact that Mercer Co. had a huge advantage when the season started. Nothing illegal or immoral. They are just playing the hand that was dealt them. And it was a good hand. Stop making like there is no advantage.

Ohh I think you'll be plenty busy playing in 5A against teams your own size rather than playing against teams half your size. Of course I'm sure you won't have any problem with Highlands, Bowling Green, Tighlman, and the teams you should be playing this year. Oh, I forgot you did beat a 3A power that is 1-4 this year by 13 points. :rolleyes:

Not haters, just realists. They don't let Russell or Bowling Green play for the 1A title. Mercer shouldn't get to play for the 2A title when they aren't a 2A school. Make all the schedule nightmare excuses you want--I'm sure most teams would rather scramble for a non-district game than have to find players to compete in the playoffs with a team that has 300 more students.

Hey--I forgot you'll be in 5A next year. I'm sure you won't care to let T and X play in your district just to show that teams with a lot more kids don't have ANY advantage. You wouldn't object would you--I'm sure the KHSAA would allow you to play up if they won't let them play down. :ylsuper:

No haters. we are talking about kids here, if anyone hates them they should probably go elsewhere. But if you notice people that come on here that are arrogant and/or brag, especially when they have an obvious advantage, usually get bashed pretty hard. Your point is understood. But being a realist you understand that there is NOTHING Mercer or Western can do about it. CONSTANTLY bringing it up for discussion is pointless unless you are trying to diminish the accomplishments of both. That is what this post is about. That's as REAL as it gets.

I'm not saying the teams aren't good. I'm just saying that they have an unfair advantage over the other 2A teams. All I'm asking is do you really think is a great accomplishment to run roughshod over 2A teams when your aren't a 2A team. Poor administrative decisions does not make it right. No legit 2A team should be able to challenge either one of those teams, don't act like there is something special happening there. These are 2 teams getting to play down in class dominating smaller teams--they're nothing special, that's what we're saying. You should win, you have everything in your favor--tell me I'm wrong.

Just roll with what you got here, a good shot a a 2A title, just don't rub everyones nose in it.

We have way too many overexcited fans, they irritate me also. But that doesn't give anyone an excuse to diminish what a group of kids has accomplished.
