If you want to criticize the players do it quitely. If you're in Ram Stadium you will always be close to a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, etc.

This is one of the reasons, for those of you that know TBF, why you see me on the visitors side at our home games.

Most of the coaches I consider as my dearest friends, and the players I love for their dedication and effort. PLUS I follow Fridays games many times with a trip to Morehead State University where my Brother-In-Law is a coach. Listening to those comments wears on you.

Hearing all the criticism, of coaches and players, hits you differently each time. Sometimes you laugh, sometimes it hurts you, other times it makes you angry. Hopefully you rise above it and say nothing. Other times you feel compelled to defend those that you care about, and say things best kept in your pocket. BGP has become a great place to defend many of my friends in the coaching and competing arenas. I try to post most of the time under controlled circumstances without the emotion involved at an event. Obviously we all post occasionally under passionate circumstances and choose the wrong words, but I have tried to limit it to when I have a clear mind.

Coaches make decisions based on what they believe is the best way to put their kids in the best possible scenerio for their team and that player to be successful. Everyone has different philosophies and ideas. But the only true absolute we know in a sporting event is the outcome we see. If we have a different play we would have called, we have no idea of its success. But rest assured that coaches and players give their heart and soul to their respective sport, and open and public, angry criticism is detrimental to the success of a program and diminishes the hard work and effort of those participating in that sport.

Go Ramblers. Good Luck Against Berea.

Good post TBF, I also have been guilty in the past (and now) of questioning coaches decisions, play calls,etc.. I also realize that the coaches see these kids in practice day in and day out, know what their kids can do and their attitudes. I also have had a brother in law in h.s. coaching in the past and know how hard it is on them. I have coached youth and some jr, high age kids in the past and know that this is not close to the level of h.s. varsity coaching. Imo one main point that most do not realize or do not consider is that we do not see or know who performs and works in practice and who doesn't. Our coaches have more of an idea than I do in what they want to run and accomplish or who plays in cetain situatiions and who doesn't. The Raceland coaching staff is an excellent one and trust me , no one wants to win more than they do. GO RAMBLERS!!!!...... and Ram fans, let's support our players AND coaches.

This arguing among adults results into arguing among players. Practices results into players blaming each other for missed plays. They hear parents at home ranting and raving about playing time. We have heard other parents asking other coaches if their child can play for them. How do we expect our kids to behave if this is what they hear at games and at home. Take it from the players. This a team. They are part of a family. You are embarassing your child when you act this way. The coaches want your child to succeed. Why wouldnt they? It reflects their coaching and your childs hardwork and dedication. If you do anything for yourself and for your child or friend talk positive. You will feel better and so will they. Pray for our coaches and players. Pray that if they come together as a team they will all come out shinning.

62-6 raceland

I don't think that Randy (Vanderhoof) will run it up like that if he can keep from it.

GOOD LUCK RAMS! Lets get back on the right track!

You are right Oldrambler!! Hoof will not run up the score and he doesn't play for the shutout. Let's hope he has to make that decision tonight.:thumb:

This game will get ugly quick! Hope the Rams can get it going on offense.

The team is out for breakfast this morning. They are coming together as a team. They have worked hard this week. They have had longer practices. Team work will make this a great homecoming. GO RAMS!!!

Wish I could have gone to breakfast with them. Keep working and listen to your coaches and this could be a great year.

Don't know much about Berea, but by looking at the predictions on here, most believe it to be an easy win for the Rams. Here's hoping the Rams get back on track and use last week's loss to their advantage.
