Thanks for the info but you still have to show up and be ready to play. If you overlook any team you are setting yourself up for a loss. It has been said many times before that any team can beat you on any given night. So as Oldrambler said, fear no one but respect all!!!

The boys seem to be working on getting that team work mentality back. There are not discussing the loss as to whose fault it was. They will tell you we win as a team and we lose as a team. They will go into this game backing their entire team. They have faith in their quarterback and feel that they will be back on track for Friday night. I was impressed with some young men when they refused to point fingers. Hard work as a team is what they said will get this team back on track without all the hype. Just hard nose football for the rest of the season.

Raceland 41-0.

:thumb: That is great news, that shows the Senior leadership and that all the players believe in the coaches and trust in their decisions. It also shows the character that these young men have. This is a great group of kids that have followed in the footsteps of many others before them.

Sounds like two things going on there at Raceland:

1. Coach Vanderhoof has the boys "well-grounded" to the importance of TEAM.

2. The kids trust and believe in their coaches and have great leadership within.

I think the Raceland program is a CLASS ACT and they will go deep in the Play-offs - hopefully meeting LCA in the Regional Championship for a re-match!

Did the format for playoffs change this year? Is it possible that Raceland and LCA could meet again before the regional championship. I think I remember hearing that your first 2 playoff games are within your own distrist. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Correct. You play within your own district for the 1st two rounds of the playoffs.

EagleEye, thanks for the positive comments on the Raceland program. I am sure that everyone here at Raceland appreciate them. We have a long standing athletic & academic tradition here at Raceland. The Administration and the entire community take great pride in making sure that the kids are given every opportunity to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.
