Apparently Sean Rodriguez will be out 3-5 months because of shoulder surgery. Braves must not want to go into the season with Jace Peterson starting at 2B.

 

I guess it's a win-win. Braves get someone to play 2B (for little money, without giving up much hopefully) until Albies is ready and the Reds make room for someone else to play.

From what I read, the Braves were willing to make a couple changes to his contract. No specifics were given as to what those changes were though.

I don't trust BP as far as I could throw him, he's been close to being in a Nationals and D-Backs uni and until I see him wearing a Braves cap/uni, he's still the Reds second baseman

They should've traded him before the no trade clause kicked in. They've tried a couple times since and BP vetoed it.
