Awesome deal for the Braves. It's a win win. No real prospects given up and Braves are only paying $1million of $14million salary.

Total dump by the Reds. I mean we are talking diarrhea like.

It needed to be done. One of the two players the Reds received has decent numbers, although neither is considered a big time prospect.

The reds need to move forward. I have no problem with the deal.

I guess if we really want to find a silver lining, this deal is better than cutting him.

He turned down the nationals last year and now goes to the braves.

It has nothing to do with winning. He wanted to stay here and that's it.

Seems like that might have been on the table. Instead they saved a $1M.

Then why this year?

Saved $1M and got two backfillers. Better than nothing I guess.

He always wanted to play full time and it sounds like the Reds weren't going to let him do that.

Heard on WLW that the Braves were the only team in MLB that had even a small interest in Brandon. Wonder if the Mets will use the same approach with Jay Bruce, who also has a huge contract and who also no one seems to want.

Braves needed someone because Sean Rodriguez is going to be out.

Bruce doesn't have anything close to a huge contract.
