Heard on WLW that the Braves were the only team in MLB that had even a small interest in Brandon. Wonder if the Mets will use the same approach with Jay Bruce, who also has a huge contract and who also no one seems to want.

Bruce doesn't have anything close to a huge contract.

Mets exercised Bruce option for 2017 at $13m. If not traded he can become a free agent next year.
