February 9, 20179 yr I'm not a fan of Coach Bill (it goes back to his days in Cleveland and it is personal), but I love this quote following the NE Superbowl win. Belichick also said this of winning the Super Bowl: "As great as today is, in all honesty, we're five weeks behind 30 teams in the league in preparing for the 2017 season." He's not known for providing the media with boatloads of quotes, but this is a good one. :lol2::lol2: Made me laugh out loud when I read it (and there was no context provided at the place I got it from). Gives insight into how he thinks. I can't even say he's a glass-half-empty kind of guy. He is just very serious about his job of making sure his team is prepared for what comes next. His wife must be a saint. This is for you @UKMustangFan.
February 10, 20179 yr I'd take it a lot more seriously if he weren't playing golf in Pebble Beach this weekend.
February 10, 20179 yr If that's a planned shot at Tomlin, Belichick climbs up a notch in my books. Always a fan of taking shots at Tomlin!
February 10, 20179 yr Author I'd take it a lot more seriously if he weren't playing golf in Pebble Beach this weekend. Can't work all the time. If you don't take breaks you will burn out and productivity will be affected. At least that's what I told my boss when he caught me sleeping on the job. :sssh: He said getting fired would really tank my productivity... touche'
February 10, 20179 yr I'd take it a lot more seriously if he weren't playing golf in Pebble Beach this weekend. C'mon Papa, not even a workaholic like Belichick can pass up a few day at Pebble Beach...especially as the newly crowned SB champion...how cool would that be?? I actually agree with you that he may be exaggerating just a little:lol2:
February 19, 20179 yr Amani Toomer once said on NFL Radio that it's disadvantageous to make the Super Bowl winner play the opening game of the season because other teams got longer to rest. My head almost exploded.
February 20, 20179 yr Ha, I love it. If that's a planned shot at Tomlin, Belichick climbs up a notch in my books. Always a fan of taking shots at Tomlin! We just need a short interview where Tomlin tells us his men are going to do some work.

His wife must be a saint. This is for you @UKMustangFan. So he'd rather not be in the Super Bowl so he would be caught up like the rest of the teams? I actually think the quote is stupid. His team is actually 5 weeks ahead of every other team except the Falcons because his team was able to practice etc while the other teams couldn't. So Bellichick was wrong. Now if hes talking about grading draft prospects etc. they aren't behind any team. Their GM and scouts could be doing the same things all the other teams are doing. Nothing was stopping them from doing their jobs.
