February 8, 20179 yr With Sarkesian making a quick exit who will Saban go after next to run his style of offense? Hoping it is a new face with experience coaching QBs or they need to bring in another QB coach to work with Hurts to improve passing mechanics and making the right read on the option series.
February 8, 20179 yr I say he brings in an "Offensive Analyst" to help out, but calls the plays himself.
February 8, 20179 yr A puppet who will obey. Isn't that what every coach expects out of their coordinators...to run it they way the HC want's it? Anyone calling Belichick's assistants Puppets?
February 8, 20179 yr Isn't that what every coach expects out of their coordinators...to run it they way the HC want's it? Anyone calling Belichick's assistants Puppets? So why is Saban hiring ego's? Two fights with two coaches in 2 months, something isn't working.
February 8, 20179 yr Saban and Chip Kelly would be a fight every minute of every day they both breath air. Completely different philosophies. Always thought he took Kiffin on his staff as a favor to Monte. Sark as a favor to Carroll.
February 8, 20179 yr So why is Saban hiring ego's? Two fights with two coaches in 2 months, something isn't working. He got in a fight with Sark?
February 8, 20179 yr I liked the idea Clay Travis threw out. Former UT HC Derek Dooley. He has the experience in both the NFL and college game and most importantly, he worked for 7 years under Saban previously.
February 8, 20179 yr That's the "rumor". Maybe it is true, but Sark and Dan Quinn had a relationship when he was in Seattle and Sark was coaching in Washington. Many think Sark could set himself up for an NFL Head Coaching gig at some point... retaining quality assistants is a challenge for high level programs.
February 8, 20179 yr So why is Saban hiring ego's? Two fights with two coaches in 2 months, something isn't working. Saban hired two coaches that were for lack of a better term "Broken", maybe he hired them for their talent and didn't care about the rest of it.
February 8, 20179 yr Some people are reporting that Saban was already seeing some of the same things begin to develop that he had as problems with Kiffin. A. I want to know what those are, because Saban knows winning and Kiffin/Sark are from the same tree and know great offense. B. Kiffin and Sark are 95% identical offensively so why get Sark to begin with?

Kiffin and Sark are 95% identical offensively so why get Sark to begin with? Probably because he was already in the building and could fill in on short notice. I read that the separation had been in the works for several weeks and Saban was fully aware that Sark was looking at other jobs. Sark was to make $1,000,000 I read as Alabama OC this year.
