One deals with one coach negatively recruiting another school. There is literally no question what is worse.

Seems to me one was a definite lie, while the other could have some truth. Who truly knows how long Urban stays. No one would have thought he would all of a sudden feel over worked and have health issues and leave Florida after 2 titles in 3 years. Same could happen at osu. So coaches will use that against him. While Urban flat out lied to that kid knowing for well Tebow wasn't going to be a linebacker for him. So you're right what Urban said was worst.

If anyone actually believes a 5 star, #1 QB in the country is gonna play LB, how did they get into college? Say what you will about Meyer, he’s never short of haters but this is about Dabo not Meyer. Debo is no longer pure even with his in practice baptisms.

Also this is some kids dad who ended up not going to Florida so why should we act like there is merit to that? Also like JA said, Tebow was the #1 DT QB in the country. That doesn't make sense logically for Urban to say that.

Meyer doesn't have to say a word just pulls out the rings. Same with Saban. I guarantee that neither says a negative word about another school to disaude a kid to go there. They don't need to. Which is why Dabo saying this is crazy because he doesn't really need to say it either.

December 21, 20178 yr Author You aren't understanding what I'm saying. I'm not doubting OSUs interest. I'm saying why Whyle told them no thanks. Yes OSU was interested, but he wasn't their top choice or even probably their 2nd choice. Whyle in all likelihood understands that. OSU puts out a lot of feelers but Meyer has essentially put a cap on Ohio kids. It’s rare for him to take an Ohio kid who isn’t in the top 5 in Ohio.

December 21, 20178 yr I guarntee you are wrong in thinking neither of them say anything bad about another school. I'm pretty confident in saying that Meyer and Saban do not participate in negative recruiting. It's not commonplace amongst the elite schools. It comes off as tacky. Alabama specifically asks their recruits what they like about other schools they visited, then they work to make that a part of their program. They don't tell kids reasons why they shouldn't go to another school. Promise.
