At the home of the Indians....

Tough place to travel to from Lex and play for LCA. Congrats to the Indians.

I think there are some fundamental truths in this result. First, HC has more talent than their record indicates. I didn't even think HC played that well ... I would think they shot less than 40 percent, maybe less than 35, and had way too many turnovers. Second, and this may be unfair given the little that I've seen them, but I was not terribly impressed with LC.

No matter how talented LCA is I think that they can at times approach games uninspired, or perhaps just simply think that all they have to do is show up and they can walk away with a 'W'.

In the quarter-finals of the All 'A' they looked like they were in a coma starting the game against Walton, and had to finally wake up in the 2nd half to ultimately get it done.

They entered the tournament rated Number 1 of the 16 participants, and didn't even make it to the finals. Maybe their celebrity has gone to their heads, maybe they're hung over from losing at the All A when they thought that it belonged to them. Not sure, but at any rate a fantastic victory for the Cross because even beating a bored sluggish LCA is no small task.

This certainly can't hurt their confidence, and should stand to be a turning of the corner in this mostly for them challenging season. Good time for them to be showing up and finding themselves with a district battle with Beechwood less than two weeks away, and the district tourney shortly thereafter. If they can manage to muster it, what a nice comeback story for them to ultimately make the regionals after a season spent working on getting the kinks out.

I was about to say the same thing.

I haven't to a game at the friendly confines of the Finn in a couple years and I've only seen HC play once this year against Newport.

Is HC starting to click some? This could be a team that surges at the right time.

Not surprised at all by these dreadful numbers .... and sometimes you can write off shooting percentages like that to tough defense ... this was not one of those times. Bad shooting on both sides, just a little "less bad" on HC's part.

More talent than their record indicates. Best statement I've heard yet about this team. Have to totally agree with the rest written here also..

Those stats seem to say LCA played really bad, more than HC is suddenly putting something together. How many games does any team win putting up the stats HC did in this one?

Congrats to HC on the win. A win is a win no matter how you get it, and this is a good win for them.

Nice win Cross.. Sounds like things are turning around for them.
