Nothing. He critiqued him within the confines of basketball. LeBron had no way of refuting his analysis, so he went below the belt like a teenager. Just because what The Chosen One said was factual, that doesn't make it in-bounds.

 

My only thought is that he finds it hypocritical for Chuck to say what he did when he teamed up with his buds in Houston later in his career. Had LeBron said that, then fair enough. And if that is the case, I am sorry, but aging vets on their last legs trying to win is completely different than hoarding all elite talent on one team at the prime of their careers.

 

I do think there is some resentment from the players of before because the perception is there is much less of a will to compete by today's stars. In fairness, that exists because everything is judged by rings. So these guys today look for the easiest path. LeBron (much of it is because of his own talent) has carved the easiest path possible staying in the East and forming super teams. More power to him.

I agree with Barkley. I think he whines too much. It is unbecoming of a man of his stature. Just play the game.

Yeah, it took Scottie all of a strike shortened season to "Nope" himself right out of there.

I'm so over all these old school guys ripping into the next generation because they are smarter than them, make more money than them, play the game different than them, etc. The only thing that bugs me about the new guys is taking games off for rest. But I will say Charles is paid to talk about the players. His analysis was not off on LeBron.
