I watched him play basketball last year and came away impressed with his size and his motor. What is his height and weight now? I'm fairly certain he has gotten bigger since I last saw him.

I have to say that I am no football expert but picking up four D-1 offers in a month while still playing for your basketball team is pretty damn impressive. I'm interested in seeing what this summer brings him. I hope I get a chance to watch him play in person next season.

I think, to an extent, playing hoops works in his favor with regard to recruiting. Showcases some multi-faceted athleticism. I believe Urban Meyer offered Malik Hooker after watching him play basketball. Not comparing Mayer to Hooker, but using as an illustration.

So true. If you look at interviews with most major college coaches they go out of their way to get multi sport athletes. Just another reason not to limit yourself in high school...

He and his dad spent a lot of time talking with Michael Hartline, who is now a GA at UC, after practice. Also spent some time with Fick before they left. The folks I talked to today have been impressed with what they have seen of AJ on tape. He will certainly be a target to track for the Bearcats going forward...
