Oh and where was the fabulous Jimmy D running around with one of his shirts or hats saying something like we beat the Panthers again. Everytime he prints up one of those googy hats or shirts it is usually money in the bank for a Panther victory..

Congratulations to the Ludlow Panthers. They did a great job. It is time for both teams to let this one go and focus on the next opponent. Good luck to Ludlow against the Red Tigers, and Good luck to Bellevue against the Cross.

I would venture to say that BOTH teams have already put this behind them. It appears it's some of the fans from Both teams that can't seem to let this one go and move on.

I agree with some of the posts on here....Ludlow physically dominated the game, they beat up some Bellevue players and racked up a ton of yards. But the beauty of football is Bellevue still had a chance to win this game, but failed to convert on their goaline opportunity. Congrats to Ludlow and to Bellevue for playing such a hard fought, physical game. Coach Borchers is doing a great job with the Panthers and Coach Eckstein is doing a great job with the Tigers. I will stand by my statement when I predicted this game...This one should be aired on ESPN CLASSIC.

I made a prediction future coach and that is all it was. I don't study gamefilm of either of these teams, watch practices nor do I wish to in the future. I don't have the knowledge that you do regarding either the Ludlow Panthers nor the Bellevue Tigers. I only go off of what I read on BGP or in the papers.

Hats off to the Panthers for turning the program around from the 30 Loss streak, that is something that nobody wants to endure. They are playing good football and I have a lot of respect for them. I was simply stating that Bellevue had the game in their hands at the end and blew it. I am sure if I sat in the stands and watched the whole game, I would probably agree with most of your statements about domination.

I along with many Bellevue fans had to question why they ran 4 times up the middle and couldnt get into paydirt. But, others will say, if you cant run up the middle and score than you dont deserve to score anyway. I think that is what Eckstien was probably thinnking. I, myself would have mixed in a sweep or bootleg to see if they could get to the pylon. That is why I am sitting here typing and those guys are out there making $1.50 an hour coaching. Dedicating their time to those kids and loving every minute of it.

Good luck to you Future Coach, no disrespect was meant on my earlier post. You obviously have passion for your team and I admire it.

:thumb: Now I do agree with this because Bellevue did have their chance to win it at the end. The thing that just got me going earlier was when you said Ludlow was lucky to win, because I wouldn't say they were lucky because they did control that whole game and really Bellevue was very fortunate to even have that shot to win it at the end of the game. Also yeah I agree with you they probably should have did something else at the end on that last play, because a sweep or QB bootleg probably would have had a better chance. I know coach Ecksteain wasn't there two years ago, but maybe he knew about that last play two years ago when Bellevue went for the win on the goal line and ran outside and got stopped, so he might have thought be better off going up the middle.

The game shouldn't have came down to that last play but it sure did make it very exciting! :D

For the record the tigers jv beat the panthers jv 24 to 8 :thumb:

Ok wolf19 i wish we could stop talkin about this but for the record the jv won prior to the varsity winning and i said Bellevue wont win again.. So i guess the jv game is gonna be Bellevues last win over the panthers for at least another year.. Bragging rights for the panthers for the next year woo hoo.. But sorry the panthers spoiled the party.. Heres a little party for you tiger fans that the panthers wont spoil for you..:dancingpa

But keep in mind the same kids will be playing for ludlow varsity next year and so on...so if Bellevue beat those kids this year, it would make sense to say that they have a really good chance to beat Ludlow next year and so on. Also even though Ludlow did win this year, its amazing that Bellevue still had the opportunity to win. This is testament to Bellevue's toughness and Ludlow lack of ability to put the game away.

I'm only gonna say that Ludlow isn't a senior laden team. I'm not sure about Bellevue. Both teams have traditionally played each other tough and it's always a hard hitting contest. I don't see that changing anytime soon, even though who wins the game very well could. It's always gonna be a battle!!

I agree pnthr4life...Bellevue has a good core of kids coming back and even in my days of playing ludlow, it was always a good hard hitting game. I know that part of the game will never change. I also know that just because Bellevue won a JV game doesn't mean they will dominate this rivalry for the next few years. I meant that it will give Bellevue a chance. I always look forward to what I have heard people call the "river Rat" Bowl.

No disrespect btownguy but your Tigers had all but quit when the Panthers were moving towards a game clinching scoring drive. A fumble happened and you guys got the ball and to your teams credit they moved the ball all the way down to the 1 yd line. To the Panthers credit they held and it was a testament to the Panthers ability to hold when the pressure was on in a hostile environment and a sign of Bellevues lack of ability to move the ball at all after the 1st Qtr. Personally I still question the Bellevue play calling there at the end but sum it up any way you wish. It still comes out that the Panthers WIN!!!! See you next year.
