Where do you come up with this stuff? Name one on the active roster of the Pats that is relevant?

ESPN! Sheard DL, Lewis RB and LB Mingo.

Both teams are loaded with ex Cleveland Browns players.

I'll give you Mack and Gabriel on the Falcons and even throw in Lewis and Mingo for the Pats but I hardly call that loaded for either team. I get where you are going that the Browns are poor at evaluating talent but Gabriel only spent 2 years in Cleveland before the Falcons signed him and Lewis didn't play the year he was with the Browns and actually was on Indy's roster before he signed with the Pats,

I think that the Pats take away any big play opportunities for Jones like you said. He's going to have to underneath like Brown did yesterday. I see the Pats being content forcing Atlanta to take 10plus plays to score in the hopes that they make a mistake. Was it Super Bowl XXV where he told his Giants defense that Thurman Thomas was going to rush for 150 yards? He took away Andre Reed and James Lofton and kept it to a game of defense and field position. The man knows what buttons to push. Then he took away Faulk and made St. Louis beat them with the pass to their wideouts. This isn't his first rodeo against a high powered O.

Atlanta is not close in Defensive front talent as the Texans, not close. Atlanta has an ok defense with LB's as their strength. That was the same a the Steelers. The Falcons defense is better than the Steelers , though. Seattle's OL stinks, period. The Seahawks biggest weakness was their OL.

Atlanta is good and have been playing awesome the last two games, though, but the Pats are better all around.

Patriots. Been there, done that. Falcons with too many first and second-year guys on defense for Brady not to exploit.

NE 31

ATL 20

I think Brady would give a year of his life to win THIS Super Bowl and get the trophy from Goodell. I just don't think he will be denied.

I also like Belichick getting two weeks to prepare. I REALLY like the Falcons and they are on a roll and as a Pats fan, I wish the Pats were playing the Packers or Cowboys...I just think the Pats pull it out though. They have won the 4 Super Bowls in the Brady/Belichick era by 3,3,3 and 4 points (I think). I will go with another 3 point win.

Pats D is better all around, or as a team? I don't think that they are a better team all around. The Falcons have a couple of d ends that fly under the radar. I truly believe that their front 4 is every bit what Houston's was two weeks ago. They hurried Rogers the whole game. We will see in two weeks.

I hope you are correct.

Defensive ends do not bother Brady. Their tackles are coached to push De's up field and not give inside leverage. Brady doesn't worry about them he steps up and just kills everybody that does that.

You have to push up the middle, ATL has no one like Wilfork, Atkins, etc

You're fairly new, so I'll give ya a tip....Just ignore it. It's what everyone else does.

Pats D is absolutely better than Atlanta's. It's not even close.

Stat wise it isn't quite as far apart as you would believe. Atlanta had to play 6 games against top 10 offenses (like NE they are one of the top 10, so that is against 5 teams in the top 10). They gave up 23.8/game where NE gave up 19.5. Looking closer, Atlanta had to play 3 games against teams in the top 5 of scoring offense and NE had 0. That was where the bulk of their points came from. NE, contrarily had 7 games against bottom 10 offenses v. Atlanta's 3. NE gave up 9.5 vs 14.3 for Atlanta.

3rd down is a the biggest difference b/n the two. The Pats get off the field, where Atlanta allows conversions 42% of the time.

Passing yards/game are kind of worthless seeing as the Pats played NYJ twice, the Browns, and Texans in addition to the common opponents of the two teams. The second game v. the Dolphins was w/ Matt Moore at QB. Contrast that with playing Top 10 QBs Brees x2, Rodgers, Palmer, and Wilson. NE has played Flacco, Palmer, and Wilson.

NE is better, but it is closer than most think. I believe that Atlanta's offense is about the same amount better, overall than New Englands. Hopefully this game will be as fun as it looks like it will be.

Notice : Due to recent events in the news .... I have decided to not accept the overwhelming result / defeat of the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game. So, I am proclaiming that although they beat the my Packers badly that the Falcons are not a Legitimate NFC Champion ! .....Because I didn't get my way, I had to look for a safe place to comfort me.....

I will be organizing a march before the Super Bowl, anyone interested may join.

BTW -- Yep, I am that bored and sick of the news on t.v. every two minutes it seems....:banghead:

Unless the Falcons can pressure Brady up the middle, they won't win. That is not a Falcon defensive strength.

I believe they will take Julio out of the game for the most part. They always do. Sanu and one of the backs will need to come up big. The Pats defense is sneaky good.

I think Pats by 10-14

Agreed the Pat's defense is sneaky good. However it was interesting hearing that they haven't played a qb ranked in the top 10 in qb rating this year. So sounds like they were very fortunate to avoid many good passing offenses this year.

That's interesting I didn't know that. I am surprised that Big Ben is not in the Top 10. He certainly is a Top 5 QB.

Big Ben finished 11th. So he was the closest they faced.
