This I think will be a great game I just wished it was next week instead of February 5. What does everyone else think on this one. I think without a doubt it is the two best teams playing their best ball right now.

Hard one to pick, You'd think Brady would come take this game, but the Falcons are playing great, they're a lot better than I thought, I slept on them in the regular season.

I actually think it would have helped Atlanta to play next week the extra week off may hurt them more especially since this is something new for them where it is old hat for most of the Patriots.

This will be a really good one IMO. Atlanta is playing great but I have a very hard time going against the Patriots due to their experience with getting there. Whether it's in two weeks or another season, I believe that Brady and Belichick won't be gone until getting their fifth Super Bowl win.

Just saw on line that the Falcons were 150-1 odd to win the Super Bowl at the start of the season. It would have been nice to have put down $10 or $100 on that!

Unless the Falcons can pressure Brady up the middle, they won't win. That is not a Falcon defensive strength.

 

I believe they will take Julio out of the game for the most part. They always do. Sanu and one of the backs will need to come up big. The Pats defense is sneaky good.

I agree about the Patriots defense, much better than most think.

I like the matchup. It will be a fun one to talk about and watch. I said I didn't care who won the Steelers Pats game but when I started watching, just no way I can keep myself from rooting for the team playing the Steelers. I also said I would be rooting for the NFC no matter who won the AFC game and that hasn't changed - I am rooting for the Falcons.

Like the man or not when Bill has 2 weeks to scheme he can come up with some pretty good schemes on defense. He will look to take away Julio Jones which is Atlanta's bread and butter and Matt Ryan's security blanket. If Atlanta can't get production elsewhere and their defense can't get pressure on TB this won't be a game.

Falcons have the #1 scoring offense in the league. Patriots have the #1 scoring defense in the league.

History shows that if you match-up the #1 offense vs. the #1 defense, take the defense. Some of these defenses referenced were all time greats, which I don't NE's defense is, but they are underrated.

Their front 4 looked great against Seattle and they looked great yesterday. They can do exactly what the Giants did and put in 4 DEs to make life miserable for Brady. They don't need to worry about containing him like the did Rogers. I see a lot more pressure coming Brady's way than he likes to see. Additionally Atlanta's LBs are some of the most athletic in the league. This will be a much tougher game for Brady than the Houston one, and he wasn't great that day.

I think that the Pats take away any big play opportunities for Jones like you said. He's going to have to underneath like Brown did yesterday. I see the Pats being content forcing Atlanta to take 10plus plays to score in the hopes that they make a mistake. Was it Super Bowl XXV where he told his Giants defense that Thurman Thomas was going to rush for 150 yards? He took away Andre Reed and James Lofton and kept it to a game of defense and field position. The man knows what buttons to push. Then he took away Faulk and made St. Louis beat them with the pass to their wideouts. This isn't his first rodeo against a high powered O.
