Steelers 18 Chiefs 16

Kelce's comments after the game about the holding call were poorly done. I usually give guys a break for comments right after a tough loss but he seems like one of those cats that likes to hear himself talk and to be part of the story.

His silly penalty certainly should be something he's talking about instead of the official. I always assumed grabbing a guy around the neck was a holding penalty. Not sure what Kelce is whining about. I guess he has more time for his silly reality show.

Andy Dalton is more talented than Alex Smith. I'll take AD everyday of the week. You have to take risks in order to win. Yeah Alex Smith has won playoff games but he was on an absolutely loaded roster and eventually got benched anyways. In the Packers/ Cowboys thread I talked about how it used to drive me nuts when's Carson would just down the ball when the D jumped offsides. Then futurecoach said it was more of an indictment on the organizational philosophy. Alex Smith lives his career by that philosophy. He doesn't do anything that could jeopardize his team. But he also doesn't win games for his team. You have to be able to will your team to victory.

If you feel like Alex Smith will give you a better chance to beat the Steelers than Andy Dalton, then go get him.

Well considering Dalton averages around only 16 points per game in his career against the Steelers, with only scoring more than 20 twice ever against the Steelers. Also Daltons 3 and 8 career record against the steelers, with 2 of those wins the Bengals only scoring 16 points in those wins. I would say the chances with Dalton are also slim and facts back that up. Hence the reason I said Andy Dalton is our Alex Smith. Both qbs teams can win games with, but not good enough to go all the way with.

I'm glad you like him. Call Mikey and go get him. That will definitely fix your obsession.

Your last sentences are not really supporting Dalton much. Saying a qb had to go win games for their team. Dalton doesn't do that either. Not sure how anyone can say otherwise when his record against good teams, prime time games, playoff games speak for themselves. His numbers in those games also backs things up that he doesn't go out and win games either.

Dalton and Smith are one in the same. You all act like Dalton takes chances. Look at his numbers in 2014 and this year in games Green doesnt play. Do you even remember in true deep passes Dalton threw the last 6 weeks this year or chances you say he took? What about 2014 when Green missed games? The only difference is Dalton has someone like Green to throw to. Without Green Dalton doesn't throw deep passes.

Seriously what are you even talking about? I have said Dalton is our Alex Smith. Saying how they both win games, but no teams will go all the way with them. I am not sure where you got that I want him? I was pointing out just like many of us feel like we won't ever go all the way with Dalton, the same can be said about Smith.

You wanted to chime in and say Dalton was not the same and is better. Acting like Dalton throws down field more and takes more chances. When in reality the only reason he does that is because of Green. When Green doesn't play Dalton doesn't throw down field and doesn't take chances. Hmmm sounds like Alex Smith to me. Plus neither one of them are going to go out and make winning plays for their team when it matters to go all the way.

I'm assuming maybe you are enjoying your steelers victory a little to much, and not understanding that I wasn't giving Alex Smith an endoresment by saying Dalton is our Alex smith.

Bud Dupree is starting to turn into a problem for teams.

He has been on a tear recently.

Sounded like you were lusting after him in order to get the Bengals over the hump.

Not one bit. I was saying how Dalton is like Alex Smith. Both qbs good enough to win enough regular season games to make the playoffs, but neither being good enough to get their team all the way.

Not trying to make this a Bengal thread, my team is out. Was just simply stating how a qb who played in this game in Alex Smith is like the qb we have in Cincy. Neither are good enough to go all the way.

24 tackles 4.5 sacks he puts a lot of pressure on qbs. Bud and Harrison are a nice couple of pass rushers.

Harrison has that look on him like this is his last go round and he wants to go out on top. It will be interesting how the defense does once he does retire. Even though it looks like he could play a few more years if he truly wanted to.

The Chiefs are planning a protest / marches on the AFC championship game day .... are claiming the Steelers win wasn't legitimate and the final score doesn't count.... they had more TD's than Pittsburgh. :sssh: :D

Absolutely love his game. Even at UK really liked the kid. Glad he is performing how he is.

Was not happy to see the Steelers draft him.
