January 17, 20179 yr I personally think Women and Children First is the more perfect complete album. Agreed, and the only VH album I've ever had in my collection. I sorta liked them and even faked it a little bit in high school to be cool, but down to my core they mostly got on my nerves, and it only got worse with Sammy, and though I did respect Hagar's time with Montrose, I couldn't stand him with VH, and DLR I mostly viewed as an annoying idiot, and his signature scream irritated me.
January 17, 20179 yr What, no Van Halen I? I listen to 2, WCF, FW and 84 more but once a year in the spring I sit in my basement with the speakers up to 11 and listen to VH1 about 3 or 4 times with a twelve pack. Every time I do I wish I was old enough when it came out and that I could have seen the legendary Oakland shows. I love the book on VH with all the quotes from the musicians of the day who said they had to stop everything they were doing and re learn guitar when this album came out. Awesome.
January 18, 20179 yr I like many of what has already been listed. Others for me are: Jackson Browne-Running on Empty Tom Petty-Full Moon Fever Stone Temple Pilots-Core Stone Temple Pilots-Purple The Verve Pipe-Villains Smashing Pumpkins-Siamese Dream Janes Addiction-Ritual de lo Habitual Plenty more but thinking back to what I liked when younger and still do, the ones I mentioned came to mind.
