I would find it hard to believe that the interim coach would be replaced after just been named by the administration.

I have never seen coaches get into altercations in public, however if you think coaches don't have verbal altercations behind closed doors you are mistaken.

 

No one is asking for people to feel sorry for the coaches most notably them. They made a mistake, and they both resigned. Just don't believe that was the best way to handle the situation.

 

I guess we will agree to disagree knowing all parties involved, this has been blown way out of proportion. These coaches had coached together for years, are great friends and are still great friends.

 

Coach myself, yes it happens, but that is where things like this MUST happen, in the coach's office behind closed doors!

Maybe. But Jacqueline Coleman stopped coaching at East Jessamine last season after a successful run. Her daughter is a freshman basketball player at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and I'm sure that's a pull on her time as well. I can see her taking this position on a very interim basis just to weather the storm before a new, official coach was put in place.

I agree to some extent. I dont think having 3 coaches in a year that they have a shot at a regional championship is a good idea. I am sure they will open it up at the end of the year. But what do I know.

The story I linked indicated that it would be opened up in a couple months. It appears the remaining assistants will have the chance to apply.

It's really strange that J-Rod wasn't given the interim coach position for the rest of the year. Seems they'd want to keep some continuity if possible.

@gchs_uk9 said it, but her daughter is a freshmen at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi & the soul reason she resigned from East Jessamine was so that she could spend time as a fan/parent being able to go watch her when she wanted. She had actually taken a job with the State Department of Education about a year ago with the History department side of things. I'm not sure what happened with it, but then she became the head of curriculum at Nelson County High School.

 

She loves coaching...LOVES & has the resume both playing AND coaching to back it up. I'd say whether or not she is the coach after this season is absolutely on her, but I'd be willing to bet that she will choose to step to the way side in a couple months given the above.

It appears the team hasn't lost since the resignation and change. Kudos to the kids that have stuck together to make that happen.

Last night at Marion Co. was their first big big challenge since the changes. NC rallied from 9 down in the 3rd and 6 down to start the 4th to get the win. I was curious to see how they would respond in a tight game.
