January 9, 20179 yr In this thread I'm looking to hear from you about bands that you think, while highly acclaimed, are/were underrated. Now, I don't want to hear answers like "The Beatles," Led Zeppelin," "Chicago," or "The Eagles," etc... No one underrates these giants. I'm also not looking for a band that plays in the basement of some pub down the street from you. I want to hear names of bands that most all of us would recognize and have their legions of fans, but that you feel still never received quite the acclaim or respect that it deserved. I'll start: Formed following the demise of Buffalo Springfield by Richie Furay, Jim Messina , and Rusty Young, POCO also included former Eagle Randy Meisner, who was replaced by another former Eagle , Timothy B. Schmidt. The group had a number of hits in the seventies and eighties. I really dug them. Really nice little tune here. Sample them if you don't remember. Some great sax here.

January 9, 20179 yr Author You've got to check out the harmonies by Timothy B. Schmidt and the boys in this POCO classic. Let me know what you think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWnBD6n9j74

January 9, 20179 yr Author Sticking with the four letter band names rhyming with POCO, let's turn to another one of my favorites-- TOTO. Here's a lovely live performance of TOTO doing one of my favorite songs of the eighties--- "I Won't Hold You Back." Singing lead is Steve Lukather.
