South Laurel beats Highlands, Highlands beats Boone Co., Boone Co. beats South Laurel....help me figure this out.

Huh? Didn't Boone beat Highlands at BCHS? I believe Boone won by 3.

Does that help? Lol

You are correct, but it still doesn't help. LOL

Ruthsatz had 22. AJ Mayer had 20 and 9.

CCH clearly misses Frederick. Ruthsatz has stepped up, but CVH seems to be struggling with his confidence and shot. CCH has a lot of weapons but misses Frederick's ability to create points in situations where sets break down.

Right now the strength of CCH is their defense. Once Frederick is back Coach Ruthsatz will need to settle on a scheme/rotation that is more efficient offensively. In the near term, and possibly for the duration, I would expect to see more high/low with Mayer and Walter to get more and better opportunities around the rim.

This is that time of year where a team will lose a game or two unexpectedly. No point in pushing the panic button. That said, South Laurel is a good team. As much hype as CovCath gets, I'm sure they had no problem getting up to play them.

Covington Catholic is not like past teams. CVH is supposed to be going D1 and he doesn't even look to shoot. He has to score for them. I think Corbin or LCA would have beat Covington tonight.

Where and how did this narrative get started?

He shot 45/35 overall/from 3 last year.

He's shooting 55/41 this year. Lost confidence in his shot?

Cole just didn't look for his shot last nite to me. I seen him like I said since 8th grade. I expected him try to take over. Never did. He got his 5th point on a last 2nd three

45/35 and 55/41. That's like 140 percent

2015/2016 45% overall/35% from 3.

2016/2017 55% overall/41% from 3.

He has not lost any confidence.

CVH is fine. Had a bad game last night. Too many turnovers last night.

The officiating was definetly one sided.

Confidence comes and goes - and maybe he hasn't lost confidence but I don't believe he is shooting from distance all that well. In the games I've watched recently (week leading up to/after holidays - didn't travel to NJ) CVH has been inconsistent from the perimeter - sometimes not releasing the ball quickly enough and leaving his shots short/flat. The last game I watched against Conner he was productive, making 8 FTs, but Ruthsatz was the more effective perimeter scorer.

I've always thought CVH was a better mid-range than long range shooter. One man's opinion.

It would help if your coach would keep his mouth shut some esp when playing out of region. There was a couple over the back calls that ur big got that was bull but when south had a big last year it was same way. It's like they want to make it hard on the bigs. South just played great def most of the nite. 22 didn't get a three 2nd half. He had 4 first half.

No offense but anyone that watches many CCH games can tell you that CVH's strength is his mid-range game. He's not going to sit on the 3 point line waiting for looks. Him shooting 40% from 3 is huge because you now have to step out a bit more which improves his chances of going around you.

In the Conner game, Aiden was 3/7 from 3. CVH was 2/7 from 3.

I've watched him play before and he was way more assertive. Last night it seemed like he just wanted to get rid of the ball. I think he is a heck of a player,CVH, but he needs to be more aggressive on offensive end in my opinion. It almost looked like he was trying not to shoot on purpose. Best of luck to him though!

CCH will be fine. Happens to every team. Probably will come out better than before.
