Top Freshmen QBs

Clay County's quarterback's record speaks for itself. Being surrounded by great players is also a big asset for him. I haven't kept up with North Laurel much lately. Not knocking North, but I don't think that he has hardly as much talent surrounding him as the other two mentioned.

As for the Rock, I understand that the quarterback has a great arm and is very athletic. How good are his surroundings? I hear that he has a lot of skilled athletes by his side. Should make for a good future!

I think North has more talent than you realize this season. And their frosh QB, now the varsity starter will be a dandy.

Clay County does have a load of talent in the freshman class, these same Kids have a record of 24 and 0 in Middle school, This past friday night when the freshman team took the field in the fourth Qtr. against Knott county they moved the ball easily tacking on a couple scores late agains the Knott Varsity.

Add into this Clay freshman Mix next year a Clay Middle school linebacker Tanner Gilbert #38, who plays fullback and linebacker he's around 6'2" 215 and is benching over 250 as a 14 year old, and the kids got plenty of growing to do Clay's future is looking good.

Remember the Name Tanner Gilbert, everyone in the future that plays Clay will know who he is, he can dominate a game on the D side of the ball as well as any eigth grader I've ever seen.

Dunbar's Samuel Doss is a name you will hear from in the future. He is the cousin of former Lex. Cath. and current Wyoming QB Jacob Doss. He is 6-0 and 155 lbs. with a good size frame to be a big, strong QB.

That's what I was going to say? I heard all about him before the season started. How is he doing? What are his stats, and his height and weight?

He finished up last year as a freshman with 9 starts and 1800+ yards, I saw him up close down at WKU 2wks ago for the first time this season and he has gotten a lot bigger and stronger since last season. As has the Harness kid at Manual

^Wow, thought this thread was archived. Coach Higgins should have fun with a sophmore with that much experience.

His name is Markel Walker. And yes he is a Stud.

He's nowhere near ready for varsity football but he does have the POTENTIAL to be good.

This upcoming season there should be a well known freshman at the healm of our greenie offense.

^And who might that be?

Campbell Co. has several solid prospects at the QB position for the future including Michael Kramer and David Jenkins. Both are products of the CC Red Devil system and both are excellent athletes.

Michael recently suffered a set-back from an ATV accident. He's a tough kid though and will rebound quickly. Best wishes Michael.....

Who might that be? Would it be a Brohm? Just throughing some ideas out there.

Not a Brohm...we are about 11 years away from that.

Clay County has a kid #3 Corey Nicholson that directed his middle school team to a 24-0 record over two years he's a very athletic Kid backing up Mr. Everything Zack Lewis. You'll hear his name in the future it might not be at QB but he'll make big plays somewhere, because real players just play no matter where they stand on the field.

Is he just going to be a freshman? I remember him from LL baseball all-stars and would have thought that he should be going into his junior year, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong Nicholson.
