As a neutral observer watching the video I don't see the call as being controversial. Looked like the defender was in position to take the charge.

Someone sent me a video of the play. Looked pretty easy to call for the official.

 

Someone asked about the defender looking like he was falling backwards before contact. That's allowed once the defender has established legal guarding position.

Wow, I figured bracken would of won this one. Any stats ?

Boyd County #1 team in the 16th Region.

The 16th region is pretty weak top to bottom. I was just thinking a bracken team that beat Campbell would of got a win.

I am not neutral. I am for Coach Hinson, Austin Crawford, and Polar Bears 100%. This was a charge without question. Anything after that as a reaction was probably a poor decision. We all have made those kind of mistakes as the adrenalin flows.

Aha. Makes more sense. AIT is the where Bob Kouns could make your eyelids curl with some of his decisions in stripes.

Charge/Block call is pretty subjective and is usually viewed through the biased lens of a partisan fan either way and I wasn't there to see it but nonetheless, it doesn't appear this game was won or lost on that one call. I'm sure Bracken will regroup and get a W against a 6-7 Russell team tomorrow.

I saw it live, and thought it was a charge. After seeing the video, it just confirmed what I already knew. And I despise Boyd Co. As well, the kid made the basket. It was a charge though.

Since they were down by 3 points with 5 seconds to go, why did the kid take the ball to the basket and not shoot a 3 pointer? The video I watched showed that Bracken county was down by 3 points. Is that correct?

I agree with that! Maybe Boyd, Elliott, West Carter and Rowan county. Other than that they are very weak.
