February 1, 20179 yr Why is Saudi Arabia not on the list then? I mean there is a pretty logical reason if we take our partisan caps off. I know this is the line across a lot of liberal or left leaning websites. But there are obvious political reasons for both parties. There is a reason why after 8 years of Democrats bashing Bush on Saudi Arabia , during the 8 years of Obama nothing changed.

February 2, 20179 yr Seriously the biggest reason some countries made the list (developed by the previous administration by the way) and some countries didn't comes down to being able to determine who someone is. Saudi Arabia for instance has a functioning Government and a Government ID system in place. That makes vetting of their citizens easier than those of say Sudan, Syria, Somalia and others that have no way of identifying or tracking their citizens. Nearly all of the refugees are from areas where it is nearly impossible to positively ID them or complete a background search on them. Do I trust the Saudi's...nope. But since the 9/11 attacks how many other attacks have been carried out by Saudis? Any protection needs to based on future threats not ones from the past. Refugees or those migrating within those groups have been tied to several of the attacks in Europe.

February 2, 20179 yr I am completely in favor of securing or borders and being vigilant in ensuring that that we keep terrorist out of our country, even if that means restriction those from certain areas. However, that being said I found this meme to be hilarious.
