I'm just laughing at the fact you want to say he is banning Muslims but yet 87% of Muslims are not impacted. That is not semantics it is a cold hard fact. You can't be banning something when a large majority of that something is not impacted. Did he say it on the campaign trail. Yes he did. But that is irrelevant to the substance of the EO.

I have no problem with it because every modern president has done something similar. I do have a problem calling it a muslim ban when the specifics of the EO say otherwise.

Obama had already passed, why was there a need for a new EO? 2) Those refugees that need help most are of course going to be from places that it would be difficult to get records from. 3) Seems like I read a tweet from Pres. Trump himself that it was an indefinite ban on Syrians.

Trump was once again out of line with his personal attack on a sitting federal judge. I wish that he would kick his Twitter habit. It is very unpreidential. I also agree with the conclusion that it is very unlikely that the courts will strike down Trump's EO. There are too many precedents of previous administrations taking similar actions and the author's point about the states and would-be immigrants will have difficulty establishing standing is an excellent one.

Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting. Apparently opposing viewpoints are fake. If Trump has any intention of uniting this country, it's time to stop tweeting his every thought. Tact goes a long way. This isn't even a commentary on the ban or vetting or whatever we are calling it. But you need to look no further than this board to realize not everyone is onboard. You don't need any news - real or fake - to show you that.
